dress advice

edited November -1 in General Discussion
ok so since i will be conducting for next years theme show and we dont have a cute theme that involves costumes, we drum majors have to wear gowns and tuxes...

however, contrary to my belief that there is a magazine that you can order drum major gowns from....i have to find someplace to buy it on my own!!

it has to be really pretty and classy and not touch the floor because i will still march some numbers...here is a vague idea:

i just wanted to take any suggestions as to color, material, and where i can get one...and i also need to find those pretty long matching gloves for when i conduct

please and thanks smile.gif

  • oh ps:

our theme is henry mancini (he did the great race, pink panther, baby elephant walk) so if you can find a way for me to relate to theme, i would love to hear your ideas...here is a typical majorette outfit, however, i think our band is opting for more of a conducter feel and a little bit less of a marching band feel

  • Claire's has gloves--they last pretty well, too. I don't know about the dress, our drum majors always wear a special band uniform.
