I remember there was a thread on the old board for everyone's screen names and I think we should have one here too, cuz I'm curious like that...I shall (re)start it.
So what about your SN? Why did you go with that?
If you've already answered this before (as I have), please just bear with me and share it again.

And why did I decide on 'shades of blue?'
1. I like other colors, but I think blue is the most beautiful color.
2. I'm not one for rose-colored glasses...I prefer shades of blue.
3. I thought it sounded cool and you can call me 'shades' for short.

    it results from an old middle school joke... and its really not funny anymore because we're not really good friends anymore. but it's still unique.
    although everyone thinks its for spongebob. but i dont like spongebob.
    and i seem to get shortened to spongie a lot. which is funny.

    I love betty boop, and I once had a friend who likened me to her. Also, my best friend likes to call me betty for a couple different reasons. The NLB stands for naughty little bitch, which is a joke from my senior year of high school.

    nah, it is i who is living a lie, as i go by darbie in real life too, despite the fact that it's not the name i was given at birth...

    RoRo - my little cousin couldnt say my naem for the longest time and called me roro instead of rosemary..
    But mainly bc my friend I met at uni (Colin - my homosexual life partener) calls me that...even when he was angry at me...

    Your avitar is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Office Space is such a classic! Wow, now that I think about it...I love movies/shows that have to do with offices...they are just so GOOD.

    I chose Lovemedo because it is a great song, and I guess I just don't get enough love so I have to tell people to "please...love me do."

    there's this book series that's based on a television series, called Red Dwarf. I've never seen the tv series, but i read all the books, and they're very funny - Douglas Adams style. There's one part in one of the books where a character has to take a test and he blanks right when he has to take it, and instead of writing any answers, he writes "I am a fish." for every answer, and then asks for extra paper to write "I am a fish" even more.
    I thought it was funny. I am a fish became my personal slogan for quite a while (this was in... 9th grade? 10th? something like that). So i was a fish.

    I was making a new AIM screenname, and the one i really wanted was taken, and then the one i wanted next was taken, etc. so i got angry. and i angrily typed in anangryfish because i'm a fish. and it worked, and so that was my new aim screenname, which was what i based my screenname for this lovely forum on.

    the end. (whew!)
