My friend John went to see OK Go in DC two days before my birthday (November 22), and I
really wanted to see the show with him, but I couldn't get down there in time.
So it's been almost a month since my birthday, BUT...today I opened up my mailbox today to find THIS:
I'm grinning like an idiot right now. John is the AWESOMEST.
(PS I don't know why the pic is so huge. I tried making it smaller on Photobucket, but apparently Photobucket doesn't like me...)

John sent it to me. I knew he probably had done/gotten something like this at the show, so when I pulled the card-shaped envelope from the mailbox, I practically tore the envelope open.
This reminds me of high school, when I had a "Wish You Were Here" card signed by Ben Folds Five for my ex-boyfriend. I got it signed in all earnestness, because he had introduced me to BFF & had never been able to see them live while I had gone on to be a total teen groupie. But the band seemed to think I was doing it out of spite, and wrote cute little mean notes to him on the card.
I hope he still has that card. It was pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.
i did the same thing for my friend with ben gibbard from death cab....and i didn't get an autograph for myself but thats okay, it was fun giving it to her!

Oh, that's soooooooooooooooo sweet!
Also- just realised that the pic is not as huge as it was yesterday. So apparently Photobucket does like me, it just takes a while to get the hint.
so a bump for the love
glad you have friends who do sweet stuff ^^

You can frame your get well soon card I gave you, it's frame worthy, especially because Dan signed it.
That is pret-ty sweet.
