I like them both, so it was lucky for me to see them in one night. The Cribs showed up first. The guitarist and the bassist are twins and they also sing, the drummer is their younger brother (he's my favorite, the cutest one. hehe). When I'd seen their show a couple of years ago they'd been just boys, but wow, they looked like young men and their music has grown as well. If you have a quick listen to their songs they might sound ordinary indie guitar rock, but they're not. It has some kind of magic and you will not be able to get out of it after all. They played so LOUD at the show, they rocked. Ahh, I love them more and more.
And Kaiser Chiefs. It was my second time seeing their show, but I had not literally seen them at Fuji Rock Festival last summer. I had been surrounded by people like walls, I hadn't even thrown a glance at the stage. But that night I was standing in the second row with a good view. They appeared with Dire Straits' "Money For Nothing", it made me laugh so hard. Ricky was hilarious. He was running around, jumping up and down, climbing up the speakers. He was very good at entertaining the crowd. Although he moves like crazy, why he's getting kinda fat? It's alright for me because skinny guys don't appeal to me
. The band played really well, Ricky didn't sing but shout all the time tho. haha. The Cribs were invited to the stage and played "Modern Way" together. It was fantastic. They said that they've known each other for a long time. Awww, beautiful friendship touched me
. Oh, when Ricky did crowd surf, I grabbed his crotch accidentally. haha. If he doesn't want to be molested, he should do it on his back next time

I'm so glad to hear that the Kaiser Chiefs are still killing the crowds. The last time I saw them was rather unfortunate- they were opening for Weezer & the Foo Fighters, going on at about 7pm in front of a crowd that didn't care, and Ricky was injured & exhausted. I knew it was unfair to judge by that one bad experience, but I began to worry that it was just impossible to put on such perfect shows indefinitely. It's great to hear that they're back in form. I can't wait for them to make it back to the US!
Oh, and isn't Ricky darling with a little pudge? I love skinny guys myself, but it's kinda fun to watch a chubby guy pull off mic-high jumps.
me neither *points to sig*
