Thats right Houstonians, Ok Go is coming to Buzzfest. OCT 8th. For those of you that don't know, Buzzfest is the end all when it comes to alternative rock concerts. It's an all day festival from station 94.5 The Buzz.
Whats funny is that I've never heard them play Ok Go. Here is the line up.
MAIN STAGE
Alice in Chains
Stone Sour
Breaking Benjamin
Avenged Sevenfold
Everclear
Crossfade
Hurt
SIDE STAGE
Evans Blue
Lostprophets
Panic Channel
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
OK Go
Eighteen Visions
Boys Like Girls
I am really upset the guys can't be on the mainstage. Surely they are bigger than Hurt... who the hell is Hurt?
Oh well, should be great. Looking forwrad to seeing Everclear also.
Rock on! Maybe The Buzz will start playing Here It Goes again. Local people start requesting it! Everyone else go to thebuzz.com and request it. PLEASE.

Too bad I don't like in Houston......but when is this, anyway?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found the date, haha...
Yay for Texas, yay for OK Go.
i live in the mcallen/edinburg area. i think i might just wait till the guys headline in tx which i hope they will. cause then i will miss class. cause i know i can't afford to miss microbiology alot, unless i get to see the guys headline.
Neither have I, so I was surprised when I found out they were playing it.
Tickets are so expensive though... hopefully I can win some.

how expensive are the tickets??
$100 - GA pit
$60 - covered reserved seating
$45 - uncovered reserved seating
$30 - lawn
I guess to some people it's not that much money, but for a broke person like myself it is. And none of my OK Go loving friends are going to pay that much just to see one band they like. I'm interested in seeing a few of the bands though, but if I have to buy them I'll most likely be enjoying the lawn.

damn!!! i'd rather go to the acl festival if i had that kind of money. i mean don't get me wrong i love to see ok go again but to pay that much only see one band i like.
oh, i agree. hence my listening to the buzz for the past 4 hours in an attempt to win tickets. my first try was not completely successful... hopefully the next round (which should occur in the next 30 minutes if anyone is interested) will go better.
good luck!
i don't like the buzz, everytime i'm in houston i try to listen to that station and then like 5 minutes later i change it, cause the music gets to me after awhile.
all i listen to xm radio. xm radio like owns my life!!

i definitely know what you mean about the buzz. i never listen to it (or really any radio for that matter), so this 4 hours has been... super.
i better win these tickets. haha.
Edit: I lost again.
Hey, Rainymorn, you Duranie, you! Go check out the last page of the "Beautiful people" thread.
um... i'm debating whether or not to go. if i do go, i can only afford lawn seats, and what's fun about watching them far far away whilst your ass is being eaten by ants and mosquitos? if i did splurge for the "pit" i would be poked by all the hXc people's safety pins. not to mention the heat and the population's lack of deodorant.
maybe they'll schedule a show in an actual venue while they're here? i loooved the proletariot show, and i would love to see them at numbers or walters.
edit: oh, i just saw that it's at the woodlands. too far for me!

sorry to hear about that, but don't worry i believe you'll win

i've never been to the proletariot, i've only been to the merdian (which i really liked) and the warehouse. i want to go to numbers, especially the time i was up there cause i wanted to see of montreal. who are amazing and i have yet to see them live but yah that didn't happen
doesn't the woodlands have a curfew and soundcap cause all the rich folks near that area hate loud sound late shows? that sucks!
i think i'm just going to wait till the guys headline, perhaps i can catch an austin and a houston show. if they are scheduled at the right time. (ex weekend)
You've got me pegged!! I'll run over there now!

i'm not sure about the curfew thing. i saw weezer there and they ran pretty late.
i was at that of montreal show at numbers, and it was amazing! they're forever touring and always hit up either houston or austin, so there's always another chance to see them.
both meridian shows were awesome too. did you see the redwalls or motion city soundtrack one?

i saw the mcs show.
i wanted to see the redwall one but it was during the middle of the week. i can usually go to shows that are on the weekend or during holiday or summer. since i don't live in houston. bleh!
i saw weezer with dashboard at the verizon wireless in san antonio. it was awesome but damn it was hot!
