missing ok go
so...i'm from norcal and every year for the past...10yrs or so the local radio station has this HUGE (for me) festival thingy in june. s and a main stage. me, my sister and all our friends end up getting tickets for really cheap ($12 for 10+ bands). and it's always in my hometown (mountain view, ca) which makes it so much cooler (for whatever reason...it just does)
and it's awesome. and incredible. and i love it.
buuuuttt....
i'm a freshman in college now and it just dawned on me that i'm gonna be missing it this year, and probably every year for the next 4 years. finals end for me on june 16th and BFD is on june 10th. so that sucks, because i'm missing it by less than a week. and even worse...i just found out that ok go is gonna be there this year.
so they'll be like a 2min drive from my house
and playing at bfd
and rocking out
and dancing
and meeting with fans (prolly)
and being awesome and cool (obviously)
..and i'm gonna miss it all
i guess i can go to their concert on june 9th in san diego, but 1) that's right before finals so i doubt i'll be able to go and find a concert buddy and 2) it's 26.50 and i'm a cheap college student

June 10th is a weekend- couldn't you go home just for a day or two?
Sometimes it sucks being in college. But if I were you, I'd spend the $27 cause Ok Go is definitely worth it. And do someone a huge favor and con them into going with you haha. Or resort to blackmail.

haha, and as far as i know they've never been to mountain view, ca. so cross your fingers that they don't hate it. that'd make me so sad.
and thanks for the replies, guys. in retrospect i prolly shouldnt have posted and whined in the first place because i just should be happy that ive seen OK Go once before.
Wha...? I don't remember saying that, but I think the only Canadian city they complained about was because of the weather. I think I said that Austin is their favorite, not that they didn't like Ontario. **shurgs**
I still remember Andy bitching about Hamilton, though..like over the summer...oh well. Nobody likes Hamilton anyway.

No worries. I whined when I found out I wouldn't be able to see them in Orlando in June, and Wednesday's going to be my 5th show, haha.

I cried when I found out that they would be kind of playing at ACL and I would be missing it. I almost got written up by an RA for the scene I was making.
