When the thread was first started, it wasn't intended to be mean. These boards were down, and a bunch of us were online and clearly very bored, so we just started joking around, all in good fun. Some people took offense, but we calmly explained that it wasn't intended to be insulting at all- like I said, we're just a bunch of dorks who have no lives and were bored. But there's a lot of snark going on over there right now, and I don't think this is the time to revive the thread, nor is it the time to bring it back over here.

I agree. Last time was meant to be fun and joking. We all went through the fangirl phase (at least I did), and it was hilarious to return and be stupid. You're completely right about the snark factor going on in the JC right now. Now is not the time.
I will admit though, that was the best online convo I've had.
Whoa, I didn't bump it to bring the marriage discussion into it, I didn't even know anyone was going to post there again or that we were going to have a "revival." I just brought it back for nostalgia because Karleigh mentioned that it would be funny to read now. If they do have a problem with it, I'm sure we could make it clear that we were just playing and didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings, which seems to be their defense right now anyway.

No, no, I know you didn't bump it because of that silly thread that girl started, and it was more or less because of nostalgia. And I know it was meant to be snarky and we were making fun of the JCers, but I only want to think that we weren't trying to be intentionally hurtful with it. It just feels very tense over there right now, and although I don't really care what happens at the JC, 'cause it doesn't matter anyway, I don't really want to make the sitch worse. And believe me, somebody's going to be taking LIEK LOLZ!!!!! as making the sitch worse.
