  • it would seem, to a casual observer, that the Ok Go boys no longer have the time/effort/creative genius to continue the blogs and podcasts in any acceptably wonderful fashion. however, I am sure they regret this as much as we do, and fully intend to start up again sometime in the future. you know, the "I'll do it tomorrow" syndrome. which, in fact, is what procrastination means in latin. Pro=for and cras=tomorrow. In one fan correspondent interview Rusty claimed to be saving his blogs for the cream of the crop, the utmost in utmost hilariosity. however, he seems to be leading a very boring, un-hilarious life at the moment.
as for the podcasts, I can't offer an explanation save for lack of time in general. they are very busy at the moment.

    those are my guesses, anyways.
  • They already have the two podcasts finished, though, with Ira and Rufus.
  • Well, Andy and Tim are planning something fabulously mysterious for the blog, I've been told.

And they're waiting for the right moment to release the podcasts, I've also been told.

Of course, it could just be a bunch of malarkey and they might be lazy cause they're on break.

Maybe if we beg and plead Grandma Jor ge, he'll leak them to us? I'd certainly bake him some cookies for that. (hint hint, Grandma laugh.gif )
  • I think the real reason they aren't doing it anymore is because they're too busy because they've gotten too popular.

This reminds me: I was at the Siren Music Festival in Coney Island and I met this dude who was like the same way about We Are Scientists as we all are about OK Go, and he actually knows the band and stuff. He says that OK Go has been getting really popular lately and that they probably won't be coming out after shows soon. This makes me sad. sad.gif

Dude. He said We Are Scientists have been getting too popular and haven't been coming out after shows, not OK Go. He knew nothing about OK Go.

....and what does that have to do with podcasts???

They're probably just really busy and lazy. I don't think it's a "they're getting too popular to pay attention to us" kind of thing. They are gaining some popularity, which means more shows (I mean, come on, they've been touring almost straight for the past two years), which means less time to do stuff online. Especially when the WiFi connections in their hotels won't work....wink.gif

The podcasts are all my fault. There's a bit of editing involved in turning them into 10 minute little nuggets of beauty and I've neglected them. But I'll try to work on it this week, Jellobomb, because every time you post about them, it makes me sad.

    So, soon!

You made it sound like he was an authority on it, like, "Oh, yeah, OK Go, they're getting way to mainstream," as opposed to the actual conversation which was more like, "WAS are getting too big," and me agreeing and him explaining the situation. And were you really so surprised that you choked on a cheese fry?

Man. That was a huge serving of cheese fries....
  • You know what's funny, my mom asked me if I went to Nathan's when she found out I went to Coney Island. I said, "Yes, of course, and I had chili cheese put on everything I ate and talked to a guy who was hitting on me." My mom was like, "Karleigh, that's not what I asked, but it's nice you met a boy. Why can't you meet people where you live???" Ah, good times.

Ohhh, before the show? Yeah, I wasn't near the front of the line, haha. We were trying to find them afterwards.
  • I saw a WAS show this past month and caught all three outside after the show. Chris is now a proud owner of my Eden Prairie High School Science Club T-shirt, thank you very much.

And his stache is MUCH cuter in person. wink.gif
