I noticed there are a few new shows posted, but they're in Europe. I wonder when the headliner US tour dates will come about...I am hoping there are many. Didn't some press release say November/December?
Hey Ashley, what are you doing Friday, Dec. 1 - Sunday, Dec. 3?
That might be the best time ever to come and visit.
Tempting...for sure. Obviously I am not working. I am going to NYC Dec 13-18th....and was SO hoping OKGO would play a show in NYC miraculously at the same time...but I don't think it's going to happen. I know you have the hook ups and connections.....
You could always stop by florida on those dates on your way to nyc. Sure, you might see OK Go in NYC, but you'll DEFINITELY see OK Go if you came to see me.
Theres already a Cali date with DCFC.... end of Novemberish.
No, these are the DCFC places: Nov 26 Milwaukee WI Eagles Ballroom 27 St. Louis, MO The Pageant 28 Memphis, TN Orpheum Theatre 29 New Orleans, LA The Republic 30 Houston, TX Hobby Center
So, who wants to wager on if they'll keep up their 2006 trend and skip the chance for a real show in Chicago? They'll be rather close (Milwaukee), but do we think they'll do a proper show here?

Tough call, they've been in Chicago recently for appearences and such, so they may just skip their "hometown."

NOT FAIR. Pardon the whine, but a half hour at an auto show and a half hour at a mall don't count. The last time they played a "real" show was at Metro ~ 11/18/05. And they did a decent job of filling up the venue. AND, are you suggesting that, from a financial perspective, they'd opt to skip playing a gig in a major city, where they have an established fanbase, on a Friday or Saturday night? That wouldn't be good business sense.

If I were managing them, I'd book them there. However, the reason bands go on tour is to get a bigger fanbase, so they're probably going to stick to areas that they aren't very well established.

Yes, but, bands also go on tour to make money, and a Friday or Saturday night gig in their "hometown" should likely do well in ticket-sales (although, truly, I have no idea how much bands get paid per night/per show) (As I say that, however, I realize that I think this is the weekend after Thanksgiving, so I don't know if that would effect the possible number of people in attendance.) My point is, I could see a headlining show (or two) sliding in before the stint with DCFC, because I think it would be profitable. The only two nights in Chicago (or any city??? I could be totally wrong, but I can't be arsed to look it up at the moment) that I know of off the top of my head is the Open End Gallery/Empty Bottle Saturday/Sunday of Feb. 05. But yeah, two nights in the windy city would surprise me.

You should be jealous of texas for more than just that!
JK, JK. My mom is still contemplating going to that Houston show, but she can't make up her mind.

Which Houston show? Buzzfest, or DCFC?

Oh man, if they don't, I will chase them down and stab them with plasticware.

Do you think they'd ever do a couple nights in Chicago? Different venues?
I just hope that they'll be on tour again soon after December. I enjoy seeing them sooo much.

Although I think they did that because the show wasn't all ages, right? So I'm not complaining. Just saying something like that again would be cool
....only 6 more days until I see OK Go in fucking Paris!!!!
