OK Go, Alabama, WHAT!
(It's not technically worth starting a thread about in the OK Go section, since it's just an observation I made, but I do feel it's worth telling everyone about in G.D.)
So I was in North Alabama visiting my grandparents who live in the middle of nowhere(quite literally, the nearest neighbor is miles away) and they recently built a Best Buy and a zillion other little stores in this fantastic wannabe shopping outlet off the Oxford exit(a good half hour away). Now, I was perusing the shelves in Best Buy and these relatively attractive scene guys walk by saying something about "The OK Go show."
Now, 1.) This part of Alabama contains people with bad teeth, 12 kids, 28.8kb modems, and 5000 mutts in their front yard, therefore attractive people my age, nonetheless SCENE KIDS was just astounding to see in itself.
and 2.) While I should have stopped those boys in their tracks and demanded what OK Go show, since OK Go has never played a show in Alabama, the sheer fact that some kids in a backwater area even knew who OK Go stunned me to the point that I could only stare and say "IASHDKAHSD!!!"
Anyway. I just wanted to point out this is some kind of major turning point for the band's famousity, since never in a million years would people in rural Alabama(the rest of Alabama is another story) talk about this. ever.
And omg, I just admitted to everyone that I'm part hick. haha, greeeeat.

(now I kinda feel bad because even guys from alabama know who ok go are and here I have to spell (TO SPELL!!) the name of the band whenever I go to a CD store, where people are supposed to be informed about what's hot in the music buisness...)

I was about to say, "I'll go hitchhike my way onto a plane right now!" and then I realised it sounded sort of like highjack, and maybe that's not such a good idea. Hmmm.
