Hello everyone... This is my first post, but I've been lurking here for a while, and finally decided to register. I partially think it was from the rush of knowing the band won their first Grammy, and the need of having someone to share the excitment of the event and that would understand how cool this is
As of the basics, my name is Renata, I live in São Paulo, Brasil, and just discovered my new passion for OK Go a few months ago. Besides being obssessive with some bands, I'm also a translator and a German student. I love to read and love movies.
Well, I think that's it...for now

I work for a Translation Office, I work mainly with Manuals, Clinical Studies, and Patents.
As of the weather, well it's a bit crazy, at this time of year we were supposed to be around the 100 but we are probably around the 70s and getting cooler, actually last night was the cooler night of the year we were near the 40-50, and it's summer...
Renata is a really common name here, actually my dad's name is Renato
(Gaaah, I don't remember how to spell anything anymore! And my class starts on Friday! )
One from Brazil, one from Portugal, and me, who isn't from either but who pretends she can speaking Portuguese anyway.
Welcome to the boards Renata! I'm new-ish as well.
We are a creepy bunch of people, so don't be freaked out when we start discussing which brand of cereal the band eats for breakfast or something.
OK Go's, of course!
...okay, kids, kidding, haha.

Are you learning Portuguese? That's awesome, and really hard! It's really hard to find people interest in learning POrtuguese.

Yeah, I started learning, um. Three years ago? Yeah, three years ago, when I started college. My dad's Portuguese, so it wasn't a totally random decision, but he never taught me when I was little.
My shower pipes are frozen again so I had to wash my hair in the sink. Which doesn't sound bad until you consider how long my hair is and the fact that it kept getting sucked down the drain.
Go eff yourself, Canada.
ps. Hi all!
