I hope this Sunday's concert wasn't too buried in the other thread, but there is an interview with Tim in The Ithaca Times.

    Ah yes! The Monkees. This reminds me that I have been looking for their song "All of your Toys" for the longest time! Well, since December. I wonder if iTunes has it.......

    Tim mentioning the monkees made me almost let out a squeal in the middle of class. Gosh I LoVE those Boys! (monkees and ok go i mean)

    Ah yes that's an wonderfully rare song. Rhino records once release a set of 3 cd's featuring Monkees songs that never made it big but are great songs nonetheless. They're like the Monkees version of Ok Go's Appendices, I guess you could say. The 3 cd's are called "The Missing Links." If you search for those albums, you'll find what you're looking for, ytel82. I believe "All of Your Toys" is on the first "Missing Links" album.

    Anyway, back to the thread...

    No, he says, "we're not an LA indie rock band" - I take it because OK Go didn't form in LA, and they're not part of the current LA indie rock scene. He doesn't say OK Go is not an indie rock band, though.

    And it's not Carole King - it's Carol Kaye.

    This is 99% off topic (the 1% is the fact that Tim brought up The Monkees), but I saw this today about the Hall of Fame. Big Monkees fan here. (And wow, Peter is 65 years old!)

    And most of you probably don't even remember The New Monkees show from 1987. I wanted so badly for it to be cool, but it was truly awful! And I remember hating Marty most of all. There's a bunch of clips on YouTube, but I'm afraid to watch them. ph34r.gif

    I should have had a better subject line for this thread, but it's not worth starting a new one. It's all under the big umbrella that is The Cornell U show with The All-American Rejects and The Whigs.

    7*s, I loved that article! Of course a Cornellian would ask better questions than the usual Treadmills bs. :-D (I'm a little biased towards Cornell, as the daughter and sister-in-law of Cornellians!!)
