This isn't the first time they've put that message up. I remember because I had a very similar reaction the first time they did it. It'll come back soon.
I have to say that I never actually spend so much time there but I too believe that there'd be another notice, like a blog or news on okgo.net that it was closing down...
Euuuarghhhh! Has anyone else seen this yet? The juggling club redirects to http://www.fan2band.com/home.php?artist_id=312, possibly the worst possible excuse for a street team site they could come up with at short notice. Whoever it was at Capitol who even thought this was a smart business decision let alone nice for us should be fired.
And on a more selfish note, why didn't I spend all my points when I had a chance?!
Don't worry, you can reaccumulate your points by logging in and out, in and out, and then spend them on-
Oh wait, there's nothing to spend them on. Will just have to watch Do What You Want on loop and visit their crappy communal board while you're waiting.
[edit] Oh no. It gets worse. Turns out that you're signing up to Capitol spam about all their bands by registering on there. This officially sucks.
OK. I talked to my friend at Capitol and the Juggling Club really is gone. But the good news is that she's in charge of the OK Go part of the Capitol Street Team. She also used to be on the Juggling Club and is super awesome in general, so hopefully the change won't be too bad. She's also trying to make the new team as cool as the Juggling Club and she wants any ideas that you have, so you can email her at michelle.baird@capitolmusic.com with any suggestions. Try not to email complaints because she has enough of those already. Now for some FAQ.
Q: Is it still called the Juggling Club? A: No, but we can all remember the mostly good times from the JC and not have to worry about the new street team tainting the Juggling Club name.
Q: Will I still have my points? A: No, but at least that makes everyone even now.
Q: Will I have to make a new account? A: I actually don't know the answer to this, but I'm pretty sure the answer is yes unless you're already part of the Capitol Street Team, then the answer is no.
There's already a challenge up. It's for designing icons/banners. If you still have some that you made for the Juggling Club, you can send those in, unless they say Juggling Club on them. Which means I can't send in my beloved OK Go/Scientology banner.
FYI, you get one point each time you log in, but you can only get up to 5 points per day. Same goes with looking at project details, so that's 10 points everyday if you want to slowly build up your points.
I'm still really, really sad. The Juggling Club used to be my homepage, but now I've had to change it.
DAMMIT. I knew I should have transcribed it AGES ago!
NOOOOooOOOOOooOOOOOO. Seriously, that was a thing of genius. I still remember the one outside commenter who tried to correct our misspelling of Dan's name. Didn't we even have a 5th member of the band?

Andy, I love the way you lay down the law like a firm parent.
*hangs off of Andy's leg* Tell us a story, Papa Andy.
ok now kids, settle down....there once was two young gentlemen, who met at a summer camp....
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
you, Pandy.
Zak, the same thing happened last time. The EXACT SAME THING.
I know how that one ends!!!
I'm pretty sure that if the JC was closing down for good, somebody would have made a blog post about it.
Not like the JC really did anything, anyway.
Though if we lose the "liek lolz" thread, I'm going to be very upset.
Oh truth! It was a glorious moment that needs to be saved forever.

What beautiful, beautiful work we did.
