Hey.

I'm making some modifications to the new board. I personally prefer the anything goes-ness of the other forum, all the crazy postings stuffed together in one ugly box. But I do understand that there's something to be said for order and calm, and that maybe some of you want to post about certain things without having to fight through tons of posts about monkeys or fiddle faddle.

Also, this board is pretty ugly, but not nearly as ugly as it could be. Someone at Capitol mentioned the possibility of getting a new skin, maybe from one of you. I'll look into that.

Comment away. I want to make this change as soon as I can.

    I love one big board, it seems comfortable to me.

    To me, this board doesn't look so ugly. I don't care much about design, its the topics that count.

    Well, you're all going to be mad at me, I guess. We're going to try it with a few different subboards for a while. Hopefully it'll work and people will get all loopy with discuss-o-fever.

    the old board was WAY uglier than this board Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore! i mean...those COLORS. eww. it looked 1970s vommit. or like, it came out of the set of the kitchen on the wonder years.

    this board looks all official and business-like.

    and i think maybe we might all like this better after we get used to it. but on the other hand, it seems less...how do i say? like, it seems less laid back.

    will you yell at us if we post things in the wrong area?

    I've been on a number of boards, but this is my first time on the Ok Go one. I think that the order is much better than one giant medly of various topics. This way you can group the serious discussions together and have like appreciation threads, spam topics, and other things all together in their own subforums on the same board though. That way it'd be easier to participate in the type of discussions you want, and not go digging for those gems.

    Okay, I never saw the old forum. But I like this set up simply because I'm so used to the FictionAlley set up and if you can master that set up, you can master anything. (Hee hee, yay for Potter geeks. Speaking of that, have not visited the happy land of Harry Potter nutters in a while...*dashes off to Fiction Alley*)

    I didn't see the old board, but I like how this one is. It's nice not having to go through everything to get to the type of topic that you want to post about. And I don't think this one is ugly, but a new design might be fun.

    blink.gif Wow! I totally didn't realize how old this was. I didn't even look at the dates. My bad, I just saw it at the top of the boards yesterday and decided to comment. I think it got bumped by someone voting.
