  I'm new here so I hope you don't mind me jumping in LOL. Anyway, my top ten favorite albums of 2004 are as follows:
  
  10. Fastball-Keep Your Wig On.
  9. The Shins-Chutes Too Narrow.
  8. Jet-Get Born (not released in '04 but still very good )
  7. Velvet Revolver-Contraband.
  6. Lenny Kravitz-Baptism.
  5. Gavin DeGraw-Chariot.
  4. Muse-Absolution.
  3. Franz Ferdinand-Franz Ferdinand.
  2. Maroon 5-Songs About Jane (again, not from '04 but I'm running out of cds LOL)
  1. Green Day-American Idiot.

  Good list, if I were to compile one mine would be somewhat similar to that (but of course it would include a certain band ...).

  EDIT: I'm somewhat ready to compile a half decent list. There's NO way of knowing exactly how many times I spun any of these so they are in no particular order (other than the one at #1, that one by FAR kicked everyone's assss this year).

  Don't feel bad. I had to do research online as to when release dates were for albums I've been listening to a lot of this year. And then went through my LJ to see what music I listed and ask a few people what they always heard me listening to. haha. It wasn't an easy task for me either...

  i don't think i've bought 10 albums in the last year, maybe even the last two or three... alas.
  
  interpol: antics and betchadupa: aiming for your head have been the best i've bought/heard this year though.

  I haven't really bought that many albums since this past summer. From the fall of 2003 to the summer of 2004. I bought more cds than I've ever bought within a year LOL. Then again, that might've been because I have a longer commute to school now, and there's nothing good on the radio.

  OK so my fave album of 04 is the killers.... then the others kind of lose order. i bought so much music this year!! haha. 04 was goooood for music!
