Weezer boards = mean?

People there can be so mean! They said one of my posts was stupid and they called me a kid! That's why I usually don't post there but I guess I had forgotten how alienated that place can make you feel! That's why I've returned to my beloved OK Go boards where everyone is so sweet and nice. I <3 you guys!

    Yanno, that happens a lot and it's so ridiculous. People think they can be mean cuz they're anonymous. You wanna know where to find another board full of sweeties? Check out www.wheatus.com Wheatus has a new CD coming out soon too!! And yeah, this board is awesome.....y'all are so funny!!

    they are really mean over there, which is why i hardly ever post (although i have been recently). but i find it all highly amusing. it's like a train wreck, a mad, mad train wreck.

    people there have ALWAYS been mean

    all they have are like...pic threads so they can know which boardies are hot...and then those are the only boardies who get good responses to their threads

    once i started a thread asking what i should wear...and i asked about my scarf

    and someone replied "i think you should hang yourself with your scarf"

    andddddd then i left for good

    theyre stupid...and i think that their average age is like..13

    I just can't believe how like non-nice some of the boardies can be there! I'm like what's the point of being mean? I just don't get it. I've decided to keep posting to a minimum but I still lurk.

    Sara- if I ever meet those people who said such terrible things to you, I guarantee I'll bust some heads for your sake.

    My theory is that they're all trying to be like Rivers, or the former Rivers, and be all like "OMG, my life is so depressing! No one loves me! I'm so full of angst! Pay attention to me!" or something like that. But some of the boardies aren't like that. Some of them have a sense of themselves and are nice.

    aw i was on the weezer boards for like two years before they changed the system

    ...you just sort of have to ignore the bad stuff. most of the time people aren't serious anyway. its a fun place if you just remember its the internet and people are going to be stupid whether you like it or not.

    shrug. i met a lot of really cool people on there.

    the weezer street team boards arent bad. and i get to be a mod! ha.

    but its true. people can be nice there. and i think that they want to take that secret form of rivers that is kind of like "emo sucks. i hate it. it will die...even though i listen to it. AND make it. boo hoo"
