  • Well, the show was awesome, but did you really expect anything different? Nothing different to the set list, in fact the only difference was that Damian had gotten a hair cut.

I recorded video of Do What You Want, you can download it if you'd like:

I was directly in front of Andy, so that's the voice that you're hearing on the file that seems louder than usual.

Some guy who worked there told me (and I think everyone else he saw) to turn off the flash on their cameras. Because of this, the pictures have a kind of smeary/blurred look to them (so disappointing!) but if you want to look at them, they're at http://community.webshots.com/user/sweetpea0431
  • the performance was fucking awesome.

(lackluster crowd though... lots of weird ass locals that didnt seem interested in anything other than the booze. I swear I saw like 15 people that looked like David Hasselhoff fans... and the lighting guy needs to be fired.)

pssst... Damian looks more like McJagger than ever.

the band before ok go... amusement parks on fire?... quite possibly the worst sounds in the history of music... right after 50 cent
  • 50 Cent is a penis pump. Never heard of amusement park on fire, but Arcade on Fire are quite good? Unless they're the same lot - the name is practicully the same. Bit like if some rapper was called Half a Dollar huh.gif
  • Definitely a great show! It was the first time I've seen the band live, and I wasn't disappointed at all. So much energy! A great change of pace after 2 lackluster opening bands (ditto on other people's comments about Amusement Parks on Fire and Caviar). I didn't expect the choreographed dance, so that was a terrific "flavor enhancer". biggrin.gif The guys were also very nice (when they were gathering email addresses for the mailing list after the show), and that's always nice to see.

The crowd overall could have been better, and it seemed that more people were excited about OK Go than Kaiser Chiefs! I heard Simon from the Chiefs comment on the difficulty of playing to the crowd that night. I wonder if OK Go felt the same way... ?

Anyway, the band's got a spankin' new fan. Thanks, guys (and Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore)!
