The portland show was so worth everything I did to get to it. Going to a concert an hour away during finals week at a university (I had an 8am final this morning =D) is kind of risky... but I made sure I was prepared for tests before I went. Anyway, the actual show... AWESOME. I love the sound of the new stuff! I also enjoyed the scene they did from Les Miserables, and the choreographed encore!! Oh man. That was ... there is no word for what it was. "Great" doesn't even come close. Not a whole lot of people there... but there was a whole lot of love for the boys!! I still have my "concert high". That show was a most spectacular way to get an early start on summer vacation.
I could go on. But basically they ROCKED.
Oh yeah, the new guy (Andy) looked shy/nervous. But more shy. Tell him he should loosen up and join in on all the fun that Tim and Damian have! Although, that relationship might be hard to come between...hhmm... I suggest showing a little personality and not taking to being called Damian's beeotch while he changes his broken strings. =D
AMAZING show... these guys are true entertainers, not just musicians. Andy (new guitar boy) played everything wonderfully and I really love that he adds a bit of his own flavor to the songs rather than just playing copycat versions. The dance was rockin', of course, and I truly appreciate the dedication everyone in the OK Go crew has towards giving the fans a great experience. Thanks to the band for giving your fans an opportunity to get to know you... :-) The new material is incredible, so much rock 'n roll- just what I would've asked for if I could have. Can't wait for the new album- maybe the band will get upgraded to a tour bus again! Here's hoping OK Go makes it back to P-Town soon soon soon.
My name is Lance and I play drums in DeHaviland. We were the band that played first at the PDX OK GO! show. Just wanted to give a shout out to the guys and say "thanks" for coming to town. Showing PDX one of the greatest bands out in the past 5 years!
DeHaviland was cool... i wore the wrong shoes though - standing on concrete in bowling shoes is definitely not fun afterwards.
my devotion to okgo (and my bad eyesight) kept me close to the stage during the breaks-between-bands, so i didn't get to check out the merch tables till after the show... which turned out to be a bit of a mistake.
anybody know if they're local or not?
if they are, maybe i could catch them again and pick up a cd...

Wonderful. This line made me have more interest in Andy Rusty.
