  • This really has nothing to do with your question, but I really wish there was a recording of their Violent Femmes cover, because I liked it. And I listened to the real song, and it was good, but I liked their way better. tongue.gif
  • its still to do with covers, i want a recording too, i've never heard it
  • ISTANBUL
    thatd be brilliant.
  • lol i know!
  • Blink 182?!

I still say more Violent Femmes covers and Kinks.

And Ballroom Blitz. That song can kick any one's ass.
  • Personally, I would like to hear them cover:

"(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone"-The Monkees

    "911 is a Joke"-Public Enemy

    "Rock Lobster"-The B-52's

    "Exhuming McCarthy"-REM

"I Put a Spell on You"-Screamin' Jay Hawkins

    But MOST of all- "Gloria"-Them

They wouldn't even have to make a habit of them...just once...for me biggrin.gif *bats eyelashes*
  • Haha you know what'd just be stupid?

If OK Go covered a Daft Punk song, like Around the World
  • i would love them forever if they coverd any james song

leonard cohen did the original hallelujah... absolutely terrible, but a brilliant song

  • Partridge Family - I Think I Love You

Pudge - Story of My Life

Haha, that would be awesome. Because Johnny Cash is awesome.

AND I'M SEEING WALK THE LINE! WOO!

I've been waiting for this movie to come out since forever ago.
  • boy named sue
isnt that song by shel silverstein?
  • Can I vote against Hallelujah? Not that we're voting. But Jeff Buckley's cover pretty much killed me for a month, and I just don't get why a band like OK Go would cover it.

Last time we did this topic someone suggested "Once in a Lifetime" by the Talking Heads, which I think is a great call.

My vote is for something by Blondie...maybe "Call Me" or "Dreaming." And then "Reflections" by the Supremes.

In the category of random, but would be fun at a show (and what are covers for): "Only the Good Die Young" by Billy Joel.

And finally, not something I actually want to hear them cover, but it occured to me and I thought I'd share: "Tim, I Wish You Were Born a Girl" by Of Montreal.

I didn't see this one the first time I read this thread. That'd be absolutely fantastic.

I think I read that they used to cover an early Beatles song...anyone who went to shows a few years ago remember which?
  • Lol I would love for them to cover Maxwell's Silver Hammer by the beatles
