  • your best bet is to take it to the gig and ask people who are waiting to go in if they need a ticket
  • Yeah, I was going to do that as a last resort, but luckily about half an hour ago, someone bought it.

    Thanks for posting.

  • no worrys, did you make your money back on it?
  • £13 a little steep isnt it!!! They only cost £8.50!!!

    I'm going sooooooon biggrin.gif
  • Yeah I made my money back on it, luckily.

I was a bit late getting a ticket and because I was going alone, I couldn't find anyone selling single tickets on eBay. Eventually I just bought two off eBay for £25 (inc P&P). It just meant that I had to sell the other one back on though.

It's near enough the same price originally if you include booking fees and postage, so I’m not too bitter about it.

It's 5:00am and I'm back in Birmingham. I saw ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest’ in the day and then went to see OK GO. It was great night, second time I've seen that legendary nerdy yet mesmerizing dance routine. Always worth queuing for a front row view. I hope you had a great time too.

  • It was such a good show - first time I'd seen the band. Been an on and off bonkerlist for a while, and the dance was just awesome (is it me, or were they better at it live than on the video?).

2 quality support acts - bought Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.'s EP (will listen soon!).

Review and pictures forthcoming on Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
  • So, Got A Faithless Wife, I just checked out your little blurb on the show:

All of which leads me to the main act, OK Go. Wow, the first word of this little preliminary, seem to suffice. Inventing a new word (Bonkerlist); performing a cover (Talking Heads' Stay Up Late) in the encore by audience vote, exercising democracy, as the lead singer put it, unlike his president; the absolutely awesome rendition of the songs I knew, and the desire to hear the songs I hadn't (a sure sign that I like the band); and of course, the dance to A Million Ways. If you haven't yet seen this, WHY THE HELL NOT???? It's on The Decline And Fall so you have no excuse, none at all. Last trains, 20 hour days, the joys of rock music and a crowd with more women than men? What is my world coming to?

    1) Bonkerlist?
    2) exercising democracy, as the lead singer put it, unlike his president wub.gif Damian Kulash, I heart you so much right now.
    3) If they had done the Violente Femmes cover, it would have been "Prove My Love." smile.gif

Bonkerlist was the word they invented - a portmanteau of Bonkers and Mentalist (words they have picked up over here in England/Wales); ta for the info RE Violent Femmes.

When I get the images developed (still working with film here, people) during the week, I'll get a cd made up of the pictures and bung them on the computers, upload the good ones to the website. In the meanwhile, people, keep on checking out the website(s). Heaven knows I'm miserable now, when people don't read my pseudo-journalistic idiocies. There was a song quote buried obviously there, did y'all get it? Did ya? Did ya?

    Oh dear.

You said "ta"! My roomie says "ta"! He's also an anglophile, so...

Anywho, no problems about the film wait. I have to admit that digital cameras are far more convenient in terms of posting stuff, but I really love film. I wish I still had access to a dark room....or that I still had a film camera....

Errr....I missed the song quote....apparently I'm a terrible fan, so this is not surprising...
