Ok Go's youngest fans?

edited November -1 in OK Go
Hi there. First time poster. My daughters (Olivia - 5.5 and Abbey - 4) are HUGE fans of the "Million Ways" video. We used to watch it on MusicChoice On Demand and every time we watched it, the girls would demand to see it 4 or 5 times in a row. They tried to copy all the dance moves but come no where close smile.gif

OK GO did a special acoustic show at the local radio station (CD101) a few weeks ago before their show here and I took Olivia and Abbey down to the station to watch and meet the band. They were a little bit on the shy side but they had such a good time.

Here's a write-up of the afternoon.

'Tis better than the angrymusicboards who are very much, "WHAT?! Why are you here?! You obviously don't love the band as much as WE DO."

    Suuuuperioooooooority complex

Of course, as soon as we got to the car the girls asked if they could go back the next day and see OK GO again. Abbey said, “I won’t be shy. I’ll talk to them next time.” Too cute.

Ahh, I seriously teared up when I read this.

OK GO’s singer Damian spotted Abbey’s “Austin Rocks” t-shirt that I got her in Austin at SXSW this year and said, “Austin does indeed rock” which, of course, caused Abbey to hide behind my legs.

Ha! I've been saying it all along! Now we know it's true!!!

    Welcome to the boards!

  • Well, I didn't ever claim that I wasn't a loser, so go Hanson!
  • Mine was also six years ago, with the Canadian version of Hanson..

  • accustic gig?

i am a ton jelous of that, welcome to the boards!

sounds like an amazing day out!

what was dan doing during the accustic set? as they tend not to have drummers for them
  • Ok Go fans are fans for life. Congrats on having the coolest 5 year olds ever.
and having a Parent take them to thier first concert that young... you are pretty cool yourself.
(P.S. Damin looks really good in thoes pics)
  • Dan wasn't there ... at least I didn't see him. Funny thing is, I saw OK GO hanging out at party at SXSW in March and Dan wasn't there either.
