My wonderful husband was taking pictures while I was enjoying the Ann Arbor concert yesterday. There are some great candids from before and after the show, and lots of pictures from the "Million Ways" dance. As you can see, they were having a blast!
EDIT:Here they are on Flickr:

The Ann Arbor concert was absolutely fantastic!! It was my first OK Go concert - but definitely not my last. They played for a little less than an hour and sang all the best songs (except for "You're So Damn Hot" - darn!) There was a fan meet and greet before the concert and all the guys signed my CD. Very nice.
For the UofM/State game, a vendor was giving away these little soft footballs. When OK Go first walked onstage, people started tossing these footballs at them and I wondered if it was going to be distracting. But the guys (esp. Damian) had such a great time whipping them back at the audience. Damian even made his arms into a sideways hoop and asked people to throw the footballs through. He got totally PELTED with footballs and only ONE made it through the hoop!
The best part was the "Million Ways" dance at the end. The footballs were flying at them by this time and the band was just lovin' it! They kept dancing, but also catching the footballs and throwing them back. They were so playful and seemed to be having such a great time themselves! I hope someone was videotaping and puts it on YouTube because it was hilarious!!

i was making a list of my favorite shots...and then it just got too long. i love them all!
I was thinking about the footballs today and realized that as Damian walked out on stage he already was armed with his own footballs and threw the first ones! So he sorta was askin' for it. I loved how much fun they were having.
lmao @ the footballs.... at least they were having fun, haha.
and those pics are great, but is it just me or is ARoss looking a bit scruffier than usual?
Yes, I have to say the band's reaction to the footballs were what really made a great concert even better. It allowed the band to interact with the audience in a whole new way and proved that they aren't getting aloof and arrogant now that they have made it to 'the big time.' Other bands probably would have gotten annoyed at being pommeled with footballs while they were trying to perform, but the guys just had a ball with it (pun intended) and even incorporated it into their act. My boyfriend was really impressed at the fact that they were so down to earth and accessible to their fans, and I was impressed that they could have that much energy when they must have still been jetlagged from their European tour! Loved every song they played, and I was psyched that they also played ELO -- my favorite of their covers.
I'm sad to hear that there was a "fan meet and greet" that I obviously missed, though, because we hung around forever both before and after the concert and only got to meet Dan (which was still a thrill for a longtime fan.) Oh well, I guess that just means I'll have to go to more OK Go concerts to get the other three signatures!
Thanks, OK Go, for a great concert and a lovely afternoon. Kiss kiss.
