So now, you know, it's almost like we've made out. PFFFFF
haha, of course!

And to conclude my rambling, my favorite part of the night was after Damian took off his guitar toward the end of DWYW and just fucking let loose--he was jumping around, playing with the flying balloon tubes with this look of pure joy on his face, leaning back on Tim at one point, just ... it reminded me of that interview where he described OK Go as a snow day. Bliss. FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
haha that sounds like fun!! hehe and soo fitting that it was during DWYW (i'm sure that was intended )
random question: when do the flying balloon tubes go up...is it just during DWYW? and are they on stage the whole time or does someone bring them onto the stage at some point? i've seen videos on youtube and they look sooo cool. haha, i'm one of those people who can stare at the ballon-tube people at car dealerships for hours. i wonder who thought of putting them on stage...
awesome pictures/review. btw, i've been trying to figure out what your shirt says/means...."secure in my panhood"?
It's just during DWYW. You know, I don't know when they were brought out. I'm thinking they must have been in the break before the encore, but I don't remember it happening. I didn't notice anything balloony up there until they were already turned on. The tubes must be all neatly tucked into the machines until they are turned on, since I hadn't noticed them (or maybe I'm just on drugs), so maybe they were up there through the whole show. ? Anybody else know?
Thanks about the pics/review. And the shirt actually says "Secure in my fanhood." I came up with it out of the blue a few weeks ago and had to do it. They're embroidered iron-on letters. Dan laughed and said it was clever, but I'm not sure it wasn't in a "Yeeah ... weirdo!" voice. lol

They have them in closed boxes on the stage for the whole show, but when they leave before the encore, they open up the box and then when they start playing DWYW, they turn on. I think that's how it happened.

I thought the shirt said "Secure in my DANhood" as an homage to Dan...which I thought was very cute. Of course, secure in your fanhood is also good; it includes the whole band that way.
Only one week + one day until the NYC show and I am so ready.....
soooo true! I would LOVE to see them live, but I know that the likelihood of them coming to Israel is so little and I just can't imagine i'll have the money (and a friend with money to come with me...) to pay for the flight, hotel and show any time soon (and by that I mean something like 3 years, because i'm joining the army next year...)

I'm guessing its a roadie... he might be preparing for someone to switch their guitar or something..
during the VMAs, the roadies (and other crew) walked around with orange jumpsuits that said something like "treadmill technician" on the back.. I think that's what it said, something like that anywho.
The Treadmill Techs were Mike Kent and Damian's brother-in-law (Trish's husband). Then the orange jumpsuits became their roadie uniform because they were thinking that they should all wear the same thing. Mike wanted to wear all black, but they ended up wearing the orange jumpsuits.
I was really curious why they were wearing them, so I asked Mike.
If you could get to a show in Italy you could crash at my place next year when I'm there! And I'm sure you could find someone in the UK to crash with too, since there are a bunch on here. Though of course it would be really expensive to get there....
Don't give up! You'll see them someday! It took me 4 years of listening to them before I finally saw the guys.

Hey, you know when you discover money you didn't realize you had? You get out your winter coat and discover a $20 bill in the pocket?
I totally had that happen, OK Go-style! I took a pic w/my phone today (er, yesterday), and when I looked at it in the index, I discovered some pics from Thursday's show, which I took that night after the dying-battery indicator came on on my real camera. I had completely forgotten I'd even done that. So cool!

I mean, it's been a week since the shows, so those intense post-show feelings, where you practically feel like you're still there, have faded So what a nice surprise.
So here are the ones that turned out:
I love when that happens ^____^
And absolutely hate when cameras decide to be assclowns and run out of battery I think that makes me more crestfallen than actually angry... (that's more like it)
Me and my (short) friend were just talking about how we were riding high for days after, and then we sort of starting coming back to reality and got all bummed out. Our solution: spend a lot of money and get to Milwaukee on the 26th. Err, we'll see how that plays out ^^;; But I'm glad you found these pics!! Quite the pleasant surprise to somewhat ease the come-down. (Oh lordy, I think I'm going to organize an AA-esque OK Go counseling group XD) Thanks for posting them :]

depressing.
but hey, can I ask you something? who's that guy with the orange overall in the background on one of the pics? looks like he's playing guitar, too???

Oh my, that' so sad!!

the show sounded gret, sheri!
I too am uber-jealous of their new setlist.

i'm guessing i'll just have to beg them to have a privet gig at my room or something..
