Erg.. I wanted to go very very badly, but I was unable too due to bad weather in my state...
At any event, it looked like a great show. By your attentiveness to the show, can you note any 'clever' moments that would be perceived as 'funny' or 'hilarious' amongst your fellow boardies? I'd really like to hear some exclusive concert moments.
And of that video.. Damian, ever so subtely, '.. this is the second verse..', priceless.

Well first off, the show opened with The House Wins. I had never heard this one live and it was quite a treat. The guys were all hidden in shadow during it. Then they launched into Television Television. One of my faves off of Oh No. Don't ask me was next I believe. During this song Damian accidently said the "Don't waste my fuckin time!" verse twice. Only a person familiar with the song would notice it though. The crowd seemed to really get into things during Good Idea At The Time. Then they launched into Here It Goes Again. The 3000 + in attendance were all screaming of course. Like I said in the other thread, it was amazing seeing the guys behind a backdrop of this popularity. The ELO cover Don't Bring Me Down was next I believe. Like another fan pointed out, they really should do a studio recording of this song. Oh Lately It's So Quiet followed. Before the song started Damian asked everyone to wave their cell phones around on the 2nd verse, which is why he says that during the song. He mocked saying "Don't use lighters people, this is the millenium age" or something like that. I would like to say Get Over It was next, and then Invincible. They closed the set with Do What You Want, giving major props to Death Cab For Cutie for having them. And of course, A Million Ways had them dancing as a finale. "Sorry, we didn't bring our treadmills everybody. But instead, I brought my backyard." The video screen showed Damian's backyard and they began the dance.
Was a great show, really. Shame Tim or Andy didn't get to talk much but I guess they've already designated that Damian does all the talking. He commented at the beginning of the show about how cold it was in Houston. "Are we in Houston? It's more like Canada out there! Is it true that yesterday it was 80 degrees and today it's 32? I blame this all on you people!"
Ahaha.. Sounds like a great show of tremendous proportions. I think, once, I heard 'Don't Bring Me Down' live off of youtube, but I'm not entirely sure. I know it was a cover song, but, I can't put a finger on which one... At any rate, I believe any song they perform has a valuable place on the cds/singles they produce, just another fine thing OK Go is able to create.
And I can relate to the coldness of everything, although, not a native nor resider of Texas. But, I can assure you it's cold here too.
I don't know why, but the recognition they get for that song alone perturbs me. It's not that I don't commend OK Go for their now incredible boost in fame, but rather that they are famous from the dance videos rather than their music. It's not that it isn't great that their music videos are so vastly recognized, but rather, that their music wasn't strictly the part of OK Go that launched them off on their journey of sophmore fame.
I think this is just specifically me though anyways. Being a fan of the music first makes me, naturally, receive the news of fame through videos as an undesirable thing. But, the videos are great, so I have no reason to chastize others for liking them. *shrug*
All in all, I'm happy that whomever went to the show was able to delight in OK Go. I truly wish I could've been there. I've noticed too that Tim and Andy don't speak, seemingly literally, at all. I agree with your statement on it being 'established that Damian is the host/speaker'. But, if ever I do attend a show, I would love to see Andy or Tim make a comment or too. And let's not forget Dan of course. =)
Great footage - that audio sounded really good!! Thanks for sharing ^___^ And thanks for choosing to take video of a song other than AMW Yes, seeing them dance (dance, monky, dance!) is fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable - however, seeing them actually perform a song is always refreshing and delightful.

Too bad my venue was tiny so they couldn't have that video thing playing. Though it's kinda creepy, so on second thought I don't really mind haha.
