At just 1.5mm-thick, Panasonic claims that it has developed the “world’s thinnest speaker”. Full production is expected to begin next year. Commercial pricing has not yet been set.

cutting its previous best effort (an enormous 2.5 millimeters thick) by a full 40%, with this room-shaker sliding in at a far more manageable 1.5 millimeters (or 0.059 inches) . Rest assured, despite being sliced nearly in half, according to Panasonic, the speaker will boast the same great sound quality you’ve come to expect from a speaker the size of a postage stamp.

hahahahaha
I like big speakers because I'm old school like that.
I don't even wear ear buds when I listen to my zen. Mostly because they hurt my ears, but that's besides the point . . .
me too!! but sometimes I do bare the pain.
I hate ear buds. I use the behind-the-head earphones still.
you crazy yank/can words..
you crazy yank/can words..
they're the type of headphones that go inside your ears.
the ones that give you awful ear aches after using them because you have to keep jamming them in your ear.
the ones that came with my zen made me sad too.
so I gave them to my sister.
I plan on buying huge ass ones when I have more money. I don't know if they'll be sony though. They can double as earmuffs for me in Chicago.
as of now, I have ones that just cover my ears with that foamy stuff around the speakers.
***unless you stick the wrong side of the headphone in your ear (the part where the wire comes out)
earphone cons
-lower fidelity... u miss out on some of the sound spectrum, which sucks.
-other people can hear what ur listening to if ur iPod, Zen. etc. is above 50% volume!!!
-hurts some people's ears.
on the topic of these tiny speakers, maybye they'll use them with that flexible battery and flexible screen to make me a credit card mp3 player...

they are just regular headphones over here
crazy land you live in...
I like iPod's.
Yeah.
Poo.
Also, earbuds suck unless they're good and in-ear-y.

Zens are way better than iPods. iPods lack color and excitement . . .
I have the entire Love Hina series on my ipod, are you sure about that?
back on topic
my dead gerbil could eat that speaker by accident if she was still alive

Earbud cons:
-They HURT.
-They make you go DEAF faster. (Really, they do. Think about it- you're shoving the sound waves directly into your ear. You don't do that with head phones.
-You can still hear what people are listening to if it's above 50% volume.
