Yay for Motion City Soundtrack fans! And I've seen MCR. They are very good live, but I was majorly dissapointed they didn't play anything from Bullets. I've been a fan for basically four years, before Frank even joined the band, and I only saw them for the first time in November. Was so good! And I spotted where they were hiding during the opening act and waved at them. Gerard waved, then Frank then the rest of em. Everyone in the crowd thought I was waving to a mate, or thought I was crazy! *is majorly jealous* I really wanna see em, cos they are touring the UK soon, but I have no one to go with so I can't. *tearage*
I saw MCR last december at green day, and before anyone was on I saw them all doing starjumps behind the stage. 'Twas very, very cool.

I, unfortunately, am too lazy and tired to even consider sitting here and parsely scanning through this thread in an effort to further develop my musical interests. But, I will oblige the question and reply, ofcourse! :
3. The Pink Spiders
ahh, those guys are so much fun! I saw them last spring and they had a great show. They're really funny (and I think the bassist is adorable, he wears pink so well).

Bands i really really don't like: -Every band created by the Blink-182 split. It's like they just doubled the shit music on the radio., just to torture me.
haha SO TRUE. I can't stand their voices. I liked Blink in 7th grade and to this day, I still have no idea wtf I was thinking.
I get so much shit from "scene" fans for listening to MCR but I've seen them live multiple times and they've always put on a good show. I think they're great.
It's depressing--I don't listen to new music much anymore cause I don't have a download service and I don't ever get to go to shows when I'm at school cause I don't have a car (in high school I went to one or two shows a month), so I haven't even heard a lot of the bands you all have mentioned....
The Seas (Austin band--I heart Nurk) Pong (Austin band) Manager's Choice (Austin band, and, of COURSE!) The Simple Pleasures (formerly Austin band, now in the northeast)
Seriously, local music rocks. But I also like:
Of Montreal Refugee All Stars David Byrne Old 97s Social Distortion

For real? I loved them back in the day and I still get a kick out of listening to Dude Ranch and Enema of the State. I know it's pretty much crap, but you have to admit, it was fun.
Yeah it's fun, but their voices are really obnoxious. Blink creates this odd sense of nostalgia for me that is amusing I guess, but I can't really listen to anything other than "What's My Age Again?" or "All the Small Things" anymore.
I'm soo pissed, Kill Hannah and the Pink Spiders are coming to New Orleans in a few weeks and nobody will go with me. ahhh.
i'd say... ok go is the band that hasn't got one song that i would dislike.
the other best favorites would be mando diao, raveonettes, kooks, wolf parade and arctic monkeys.
also there are bands that i used to like some time ago, for example the strokes, feist, muse, 2 many DJ's, wolf parade, tv on the radio, zero 7, gogol bordello, starsailor, be your own pet.
and lot's of lithuanian or rusian music, that you guys probably don't know.:]

Yes! There pre-gig warm ups. They also have a round of high fives.
Hehe
