I am one of new OK GO fan in Japan. I knew them from video "Here it goes again" this month.
When I saw them first time, I thought they are a dance performancing group, not a rock band.
Please check OK GO interview video from MTV Japan. (I like this interview.)
If you already watched the video, sorry...
You can also other musicians attending SUMMER SONIC 2007, too.
I hope someone transcribe what OK GO and interviewer said in English on this thread for me because I am a non-native speaker of English. I understand the meaning thanks to subtitles. However, I would like to know as one of my English lesson.
http://www.mtvjapan.com/flvplayer/mcpop.ph...mp;startindex=7I think Mr. Damian Kulash reminds me of Paul Gilbert (ex-Mr.BIG).
Both men are very tall, aren' they?

EDIT: Here's what I got.
Interviewer: Okay, so, welcome to Summer Sonic.
Damian: Thank you.
Tim: Thank you.
Andy: Thank you.
Dan: Thanks.
Interviewer: I saw you on the monitors over there; it was pretty hot, right?
Damian: It was extremely hot, yeah. It was great. We sort of like the sweaty wellies. (? I can't tell what he says. sweaty something, haha.)
Interviewer: Yeah? You don't mind getting a bit sweaty?
Damian: Yeah...it gives you something to share with the crowd--like, total discomfort.
Interviewer: Well...(laughing) Total discomfort?
Damian: Yeah, but in kind of a good way...you want a rock show to be just like sweaty and nasty. It was good, it was fun.
Interviewer: Especially for very smart gentlemen like you, you're always very, you know--suits, very dapper--so it must be even hotter.
Damian: The suits are warm...
Tim: Yeah.
Damian: ...But you know, they also keep--the layers sometimes keep the heat out, too, so it works both ways.
Interviewer: Well, so far, how does this festival compare to like festivals in the States or Europe? Is it very different?
Damain: It's much more organized. It's like, everything runs very, very smoothly. It's much bigger, you know what I mean?
Tim: Yeah, it's massive.
Damian: A huge festival in the States might have three or four stages; there's seven here. So it's like...
Tim: And each stage is fairly gigantic.
Damian: Yeah, and it's like all huge bands, too. So it feels like a festival we've been to, on steroids, you know? It's just like...massive.
Interviewer: It beats (? I can't tell what she says)
Damian: Yeah, everything's like (makes explosion noise) huge.
Interviewer: Okay well, you know what, I was a bit disappointed that you didn't bring the treadmills.
Damain: We brought them.
Interviewer: Oh, you did?
Damian: Oh, yeah. We bring them with us just because they feel good to have around, you know. But we didn't bring them on stage.
Interviewer: (laughing) Imagine recreating that on stage at Summer Sonic.
Damian: Yeah.
Tim: Not in this heat, not in this heat.
Damian: It was the heat. No, you know, we don't actually do the treadmill thing live. It's sort of like, it was great when it was surprising to people, but now that people that expected it of us it's not as much fun anymore.
Interviewer: Right, because I don't think anyone expected it at the VMAs when did it, right? So it worked, it was amazing. I'm going to see you high-fiving off...(? can't tell what she says)
Tim: We were pretty excited.
Damian: We were excited that no one had broken their neck.
Interviewer: Well, I mean, uh...you've won a Grammy for your music video...um, any other ideas or any plans for the next video?
Damian: Well, we made another video right after that actually, um...it's all wallpaper. It's like, everything is camouflaged in wallpaper and we're covered in wallpaper for it, and that one was pretty exciting. We haven't made any more videos since then, um, and, you know, I'm sure we will for our next album but right now we're working on writing and recording the next record, so we're sort of in between videos.
Interviewer: Why don't you shoot a video in Japan? We'd love you to do something over here.
Damian: Okay.
Tim: Not a bad idea.
Interviewer: Are we up for that?
Damain: Yeah, I'll go to Japan.
Tim: Sure.
Interviewer: Okay, what are you going to do for the rest of the day? Who are you going to go and check out?
Damian: I want to see LCD Soundsystem.
Tim: Yeah, I want to see the Klaxons.
Damian: Modest Mouse.
Dan: Uh...
Andy: Gwen Stefani.
Dan: Gwen Stefani.
Interviewer: Have you ever seen her live?
Andy and Dan: No.
Damain: I met her once, I met her in a bar. I was really drunk, and I don't remember what I said. I think I talked to her husband for a while.
Interviewer: Oh really?
Damain: Yeah.
Interviewer: Gavin?
Damain: I think so, yeah...it was a blurry night for me.
Interviewer: It must have been a good night, then.
Damian: It was fun, it was fun.
There were a few parts I couldn't hear, but that was the most of it. sorry for the delay.
Thank you very much !!!!!!!!

Aww, I love Mr. Big! I first got into them from hearing one of their songs on an anime. The lead singer looks so small but has such a big voice. Welcome to the board. Thanks for the interivew.
I like Mr.Big, too! Thank you for your reply.
