also. I don't get MGMT... thier like the poor mans klaxons
guess they were bound to get that remark though with the producer. really though i thought they did a great job with those sounds hes describing. I really enjoy those types of sounds one of my favourite sounds actually and the boys made me proud with them.
  • WOW, well here's an interesting interpretation of the album for sure.
Just stumbled upon this, it's a comment after a review. Sorry, I lost the original page.

The song titles of OK Go all sound like they are a running theme. Add them all together and you have a message that says Israel is annihilating the white race (”Last Leaf” on the tree of life) and that Israel committed the attacks on 9/11 (”Skyscraper”) “End Love” means anti-christ or no love for Christ, annihilation of Christians, Armageddon. “Before the Earth Was Round” means when the Torah was written while humans were ignorant and lies were easy to sell to trick citizens with black magic and bogus stories about invisible men loving them when leaders insisted citizens believe the earth was flat or they would be kiled. “White Knuckles” refers to the terror that victims feel when attacked by Israel, how Palestininan children feel when white phosphorous is dropped on them by good Jewish boys of Israel, the ride from hell that the human race rides in while Israel steers the bus.

    lollolololllll..

While I'm not completely sold yet on the sound of this new album, that critic was a tad too harsh esp. when he said "a band that has yet to find it's voice." Ok Go aren't exactly newbies floundering around to find a nitch in the musical world. They do know what they're doing, and if you are a fan or can appreciate their albums, this isn't exactly a new sound but a progression. I mean, if this album sounded very similar to the other two albums, this same critic would be complaining that the band is too afraid to experiment or that they are trapped in a rut and can't do anything new. rolleyes.gif
