So within 4 hours, the Music Hall of Williamsburg SOLD OUT!
I, stupidly, forgot they go on sale at noon. Can anyone help me out? This is the only show actually close to me and I was definitely planning on going to. Anyone get an extra ticket?
I'll be so crushed if I don't go

Check the price of the tickets, figure out how much you would have spent in service fees and such, and decide how much over that you're willing to pay. If you're in the city or can get to the city, it's probs better to meet up somewhere and get the tickets, as you're definitely sure you're not getting scammed.
and - they will release more tickets closer to the day of the show. just check back everyday the week before.

I don't know why this hasn't been listed under shows but according to Music Hall's web site a second show has been added on 4/29.

THANK GOD. Best news ever!
Crap. I'm gonna have to take time off work.
Fucking Scalper Bastards.
But, nevertheless, I dropped a whopping $58 PER TICKET on StubHub to get a ticket for the first show. UNBELIEVABLE. How do these people sleep at night? And honestly, not for nothing, but I used to live in the area and had no idea that there were so many OK Go fans to SELL OUT MHoW and require a second show.
But I will be at both. So join me!
StubHub is ridiculous. I found tickets there, but once I realised that it was not only going to be expensive BUT they force you to have them shipped FedEx regardless of how far in advance the show is, I decided to go for Craigslist. I think I got my ticket to last year's MHoW show for $30, $35, I think.
You can call the box office, but if the website says sold out, odds are that's what the box office will tell you, too. Not so sure about them releasing more tickets - it's certainly possible, but you'd need to be at the right place at the right time to snag them.
Honestly, if you can't get tickets for the 4/29 show, Craigslist is your best option, I think. I've found tickets for loads of shows that way. Hold tight, because there's really NO way that show sold out legitimately that quickly. The closer you get to show date, the lower price will be, believe me.
ETA: Oh wow, I didn't realise you'd actually already bought a ticket off of StubHub..........
yeah I know. I didn't want to chance it on Craigslist because I've had a not-so-good experience (guy never showed with my tix day of). Also, it was at the time the second show wasn't announced so I was FREAKING OUT thinking I wasn't going to get a chance to see them by me.
But thanks for the heads up. $58 per ticket, when they were originally $20 was a real punch in the gut. But, whatevs. It's cool. I got 'em.
It's just really shitty that scalpers do that to people who legitimately want to go, and take advantage of fans like that. But you can bet I'll be gettin my next batch of tickets, at noon exactly, on Wednesday for the second show.
Ohh yeah, that's another thing, it's better to get your ticket before the day of the show, unless it's a last-minute decision...in any case, I've had mainly positive experiences doing exchages via Cragislist, so I'd say give it another go next time.
i wish so sad to be missing them.
