I found my CCCCinnamon dance VHS, have questions

edited November -1 in OK Go

Hi gang. I just moved, and whilst unpacking a bunch of stuff, found my autographed copy of the C-C-C-Cinnamon dance video on VHS from Chic-a-go-go. I don't have a TV right now so I can't pop it in to watch it. I searched on this forum, and it seems like maybe it's kinda rare? is there a demand for it? Any info is appreciated.

FYI I bought this when they opened for They Might Be Giants down in St. Pete, Florida right before the self titled album came out and was a hit. Damien (sp?) and another member (Andy? forgive me) and a third member (whose sig I can't read at all) signed it for me.

Thanks! J (aka cinnamonvideo)

  • If you take a photo of it, we can probably tell you which signature is which.

As to whether or not there's a demand for it, I would venture to guess that it is pretty rare, but I don't know if it's worth much in dollars. Like, if you put it up on eBay, I don't think it'll bring in a fortune. That being said, I can guarantee you there are a bunch of people around this place that would like to get their hands on it if you ever wanted to get rid of it.

  • Thanks I'd hate to sell it. I was just curious. It is a nice nostalgia piece. I really loved seeing them back then. Do they still do "This is not the Sound of the Train"? prolly not, huh? :(
  • Ha, no, they don't do "The Unrequited Orchestra of Locomotion" anymore, but lots of us have recordings of it.  I'm very glad I got to see it back in the old days.

  • The video isn't rare as they re-released it on the dvd with their second album, but I doubt many people have it signed on VHS.
  • Good to know, thanks!
