So I was watching "Freakonomics" last night, because I am a documentary slut and I loved the book.  By the way I recommend  it, it is very good (the book is better).  Well when the movie ended, who was playing the closing titles, but OK GO?  It was "This Too Shall Pass" and, naturally, I knew it from the first note.  What surprised me was that my husband did as well.  I looked at him and he gave me that "You only watched this because of OK Go" look.  You know that look right?  Well I told him that I had no idea that they were music in this piece and he didn't believe me!

Anyhow, the point is this:  "This Too Shall Pass"  it the closing title song in "Freakonomics".

Haha, that is amazing. I love when they just appear and you aren't even expecting them to be in that movie/show/other media stuff. It makes it that much more awesome. :D
  • Becki...  I love you.  I was looking for this and couldn't find it anywhere.
  • Aww, shucks yall, 'twerent nothing. :)

I was glad I found it, and knew I couldn't be the only one who missed it.
  • There is no introduction for this. It's just that cool.

I loved Andy's line 30 seconds in. As well as Dan's at the end. :D

Too funny!  The chair finally found true love.

But Damian looks *tired* in that video.  I wonder why.
  • Love it!  So creative and funny.  I am now going to send it to all of my friends.
  • Oh my goodness! This is the best most hillarious thing I've seen all day. I have a famous hatred of dating sites. This rings so true and makes me so happy. *Gasp* It's like OK Go can read our minds.
  • I went to see The Cabin in the Woods today, and White Knuckles plays right at the beginning of the flick.  My husband promptly turned to me and said, "Oh, is this why you wanted to see this?"  It was a very expensive ticket to listen to like two minutes' worth of White Knuckles!  Thankfully, the theatre threw in a movie with it, or I just wouldn't have felt like I'd made a very financially sound decision.  ;)

Hahaha, love it. It's always funny when OK Go appears somewhere random and people just assume you knew about it and planned the whole thing.

When people think I do it on purpose, they're just overestimating me. I am far too lazy to plan that sort of thing.
  • My thoughts exactly, Silver!  As much as I love OK Go and as excited as I was to hear the song in the movie, it sounds far nicer on my speakers at home.  Now, if the band had an actual cameo in the film, that would be different...
  • This isn't new but I've not found it on the forums and I've only just seen it myself. OK Go aren't strictly in it either, but shall we say... their spirit might be!

That's awesome.  I got the OK Go "vibe" from it, especially, but not limited to, Here It Goes Again, A Million Ways, White Knuckles, Do What You Want, End Love, and Back From Kathmandu.

  • Here we have Tim and Damian commenting on comments on their videos. There are some interesting tidbits about themselves that they discuss. And we learn about a new technology called "scrotoscope".

  • Hi there people.  I just wanted to let everyone know that "Good Vibes" is now streaming on Netflix.  So if you missed "Backstage Babs" or just wanted to see it again and you have Netflix you can watch it as much as you like.  I might have watched it a few times, myself.  :)
  • Here's a sorta cute little bit. Also, it's on Channel 23 ;D

  • I'm not exactly sure why Damian and Tim are on MLB.com. But they are.

I mean, it would make sense for aross to be on it, but he's not. Eh.

  • It is weird that Andy isn't involved... But I totally want to see an 80s style jeans ad with OKGo (the Perfume video almost qualifies though. ...Almost).
  • I guess the boys were the featured band on CBS This Morning: Saturday this past Saturday.

Here is a link to some of what was talked about along with 3 vids. One is an interview with Damian and Tim, along with some very old footage I have never seen before.

Watch OK Go Perform Three Songs On ‘CBS This Morning: Saturday’

Here's the direct YouTube link for the interview and The Writing's on the Wall:

Also, I'm pretty sure that one of these songs were used on The Late Late Show with Whitney Cummings. Yep, The Writing's on the Wall was used:
