I just wanted to say how much I *love* this thread. My vocabulary is so very mixed; I use many a Brit word instead of the American version, so it is great to know more I can say (and confuse the hell out of people who have no clue).

Damian calls himself (and others call him) an asshole, but I really don't see it. Maybe it's because I have actually spoken to the man on many occasions and find him very grammatically-correct, but I think it is mostly the younger people calling him…
