I wasn't sure where to post this, but I just got one call and three IMs about how incredibly bad this year's VMAs are. And some of these comments are from MTV-worshippers, so... It sort of made me happy.

Yes. My parents are somewhat paranoid and lock the house as much as possible, but since we live in such a safe neighborhood, they've left it unlocked before. Have you ever not bathed for a week or more?
