I really liked Almost Famous, amazing movie.
OOO and if you haven't seen Labyrinth you need to see it! Its an awesome movie with David Bowie...mmm Bowie...

I just watched that last week. Have you heard all the jokes about David Bowie's package in that movie? haha
  • yes...ahahaha I love childrens movies with that kind of a thing in it...like the priest in the little mermaid.
  • i've been watching really obscure stuff lately but i'm going to go watch Der Untergang now, which isn't as obscure, but apparently very good.

Also i saw Stealth randomly, well half of it and it was really awful.
  • ohhhhh man realized the greatest movie of all time that i haven't mentioned yet....Newsies.....Christina Bale as a teenager ooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmm wow amazing movie y'all should go out and find obscure copies of it because it will blow your mind...its a musical and there is dancing and pelvic thrusts wow.
  • i had a chance to see that but i passed, maybe i'll try and find it again. i like christian in Velvet Goldmine.

I saw Amelie last night, it was amazing as expected, i love Jean-Pierre Jeunet films.
  • I saw Christian Bale in this film called All the Little Animals
the other day (the film was pretty naff), and discovered for the first time that he's from Wales, and has a proper English accent. I had NO idea he was british. I was in so much shock that I convinced myself that it wasn't him hahaha.
  • i knew he wasn't american but i thought he was english, he does really good accents.i only found out he was Welsh at the mtv movie awrds when he won and i heard the accent.
  • convos about movies is dying, lo.
saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 which was awesome, i really liked it. the costumes, makeup and cgi stuff for Davey's crew was really cool

and i saw Snakes on A Plane - which was really funny. was it just me, or did that sex scene last entirely too long?
  • i still need to watch gardin state and sin city
  • garden state is amazing.

but now there's another movie w/ Zach Braff that's comin out in september and it kinda looks liek a garden State rip-off (different plot, but same feel) but it also looks kinda amazing. and I wanna see it anyways, due to Zach Braff. =)

I finally saw Dodgeball the other day. wasn't disappointed w/ all the things I've heard about it. I <3 Justin Long to the max.
  • Uhm.

    I barely watch movies.

But I have to say one of the movies that I really love is Moulin Rouge. & Aladdin. & A Beautiful Mind. & Forrest Gump.

I know this thread has been going on for seven pages already, but if none of the movies above have been discussed, then go ahead!

(I secretly wanna see some drama. Yay.)

    (Just kidding.)

well, Forrest Gump just goes without saying. actually, I did a project last year on a group of guys in 1968 known as the "Chicago Seven" (or eight) and the last time I watched Forrest Gump I realized that the hippy who keeps swearing bears a striking resemblance to one of those guys. it was quite amazing.

and I also like Alladin. although I feel that The Lion King was more of my age group, as it was the first movie I ever saw in a theater, but Alladin has always been amazing. I was Jasmine for halloween in second grade.

I can't stand to watch that movie/listen to the soundtrack anymore. Because once I do I sink myself into this self-loathing, depressive pit of sadness. & stuff. But man, it's truly just an amazing movie, though happy.gif I hate it when Satine dies.. & Christian starts sobbing his heart out.. gets me every single time.

Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie! Granted, I haven't watched all of them, but I was just obsessed with Aladdin & I would wear out the old 90's VHS tape my parents bought by watching it all the time.

My only problem with that scene was that NOBODY takes all their clothes off for plane sex. At least make it accurate.
