my dad said that hahah but i think he was joking. hopefully.

omg the thing that made me so mad about this today was dan rather interviewing bush senior and he's like do you think that this will make the Muslims over there realize how much US support really does matter? and Bush senior was like "i hope so" and then he interviewed Clinton and Clinton was like "that shouldn't be the US's goal in sending aid there at all. It's not a religious issue."
at least they aired both of those. but still. people can be so dumb. they were like "we're making the Islamic people realize that the US is vital" and I was like are you serious? why do they always have to make it that they're teachign Muslims something. ugh.

    true.
    that.

yeah...and thsi thing is scary as hell. imagine just sitting around your house one day and 2 minutes later your entire family is whiped out, including your home and everything that even proves you ever existed.

and the end of the world thing? TOTALLY! there are these signs of the end of the world (in islam, atleast) And one of them is a war between christians and muslims that starts in modern day Afghanistan(it is referred to by a different name, because at that time, it wasnt "afghanistan" it was something else) and will move all the way across, through iraq, and ending in syria. One day i was watchign the news and someone mentioned that syria may be next and i almost peed my pants. Because i read this a VERY long time ago! way before we even raided iraq.

and a second sign is people dying in MASS amounts, and the rise of natural disasters.

    that is SCARY shit dude.
  • I know i'm kind of weird in this way but i'm like.. "end of the world. meh." like i'm not perturbed by it. I mean there's gonna be another mass extinction someday right? I'm sure that's all it is if it's anything big. And I mean it's not like the world is so great now, maybe it will be better after the mass extinction. Um, look on the bright side, lol.
  • according to the mayans, the world (this is the 5th) is going to end on my birthday in 2012! (December 23, 2012!). I heard that and it made me happy!
and then when i was in hawaii, there was this guy yelling "WORLD PEACE IN 2013!" and you seee. if the world ended in 2012, of course there'd be world peace, because no one would be alive!
    but
then there's that crazy john titor guy. if youve never heard of him, then i shall tell you about him. he claims he's a time traveler from like 2030something. but yeah. he was alive in 2030. so. haha. and he said there's a civil war in the US in 2005. if there is, id be scared to death! but yeah
im excited the world is ending on my birthday.
  • Ha ha ha ha ha. Civil war this year? I'm doubting it. Unless osmethign like really huge happens in the U.S. i'm doubting there's enough unrest here to cause a civil war. That guy is crazy.

It really made me sick, sad and mad. Color of your skin, place you live, religion you believe, woman or man or...um neutral, it doesn't matter. People are people.
Some guys use wars/disasters/its rehabilitation for showing their power to other countries or making money. I hate those clever assholes.
As for a little American boy that Sai mentioned, I think it's both good and bad. The good side is that it could help to think this tragedy more personal. The number of victims is tremendous, you know, but each person is not one of the numbers, they have/had their story. Focusing on a certain person also might be helpful in collecting more donations, as Julie said in her early post.
TV stations use suffered people to get higher audience ratings, that's the bad side. They're always looking for dramas, aren't they? I wonder if they will report the conditions of people in Indonesia or Sri Lanka a couple of months later. They have to. They should keep reminding us this tragedy. That's the meaning of the existence of the media, uh?
About money. The governments that had declared giving millions of dollars for former disasters really pay? Shamefully, not all of them have kept their promises. We should keep an eye on our governments until they do their duties.

Well, to contribute some money (it should be long-lasting) and never to forget about the afflicted, that's all I can do for now sad.gif.
