  • Me too. I will listen to anything but country or bluegrass.

My sister listens to country and it makes my head explode. image
  • ok my group of friends (goths punks emo's) we hate country so very very much. and preps. its quite funny at school dances. sometimes they play country and we make fun of it and plug our ears. same with rap.
  • pure country music kills me inside, but i can at least tolerate some of the poppier or alternative kinds, so i voted that "i friggin hate it."
  • bluegrass kicks ass...
  • I love country music. It is 3 of the 6 programmed buttons on my radio. People think that country is sad but it's no more depressing than any other type of music, a lot of it is about being happy and in love. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I hate it when people are like "I hate country" when they never even give it a chance.

i respect country as i respect any music genre, and i agree that country's not necessarily depressing...however, i just can't take it musically. i can't take too much twang and their singing style. i am forced to listen to country constantly at work and i do my best to tune it out.

but yeah, we like what we like and don't like what we don't like, so good on you if you like country. i don't hate you for liking it, just as i don't expect you to hate me for not liking it...
  • well thank you =o) I don't like force anyone to listen to country who doesn't like it... If I am driving somewhere with other people in my car I turn country off and listen to something else, generally something neither of us like cause the radio stations around here suck... there isn't a single one that I can tune into that plays okgo
  • Yeah, none of the stations at home played the new single, which is ridiculous cause there are about a million in DC.

I've got the same problem with country--twangy stuff hurts my ears a lot. And I feel like a lot of country singers sound like they're whining, which I also find annoying.
  • ok country singer men are gettin wussier and loserer because the way the sing their love songs and soungs about her leavin him make him sound like a friggin *cat* ^^
