oh my god, that show is amazing!
and ew, why the hell are they at parson's?! F.I.T is OFFICIALLY better than parsons(i dont know who it is that decides this stuff, but they have decided. and its official. haha. my professor that works for tommy hilfiger told us. she said that the past few yrs people were starting to say maybe parsons is better than f.i.t because you know, like, all these big names have been coming from parsons lately. Proenza Schouler are from parsons. but anyway so she said regardless of all this Proenza Schouler ruckus, the Fashion School Gods--whoever they may be---have officially stated fit is the better school. so HA!!!!) but yeah....so in light of all this, i assssskkkk WHY they are at parsns and not f.i.t?!? michael kors(one of the judges) WENT to f.i.t!! and he sits at parsons. tsch tsch.
anyway, so YEAH!! sara you were so right about that show!! i LOVE it!!! and i predicted that no matter how horendous austin's dress is, they wouldnt get rid of him. my dad was like "no way, hes so out. the rose dress is not even close to as awful as HIS dress is" but i KNEW he was goign to stay in. from my personal experience, i can tell you this: you can NOT compete iwth a gay man's talent. sure, he'll make some crazy shit once in a while, but in the end: one gay man ha smore creativity and talent than all the straight men and women in the world.
i LOVE menswear. iw ould KILL to do menswear, but the only reason i dont do menswear is because that entire department is filled with gay guys and im like "no way. i am not going to mess with them" because its like, theyre goign to make all this crazy shit and i'll make something that may have been insane if i was in a class full of straight girls, but as soon as u start comparing it to what the gay guys do, it all the sidden looks like a pile of shit. dude, no WAY. they are way too talented. them and asians. i swear i wish i was born a gay asian man. id be like...owning all over the industry.
but anyway. here is why i could never be on this show(yet): i could NOT make a wedding dress in two days dude! ok either theyd ont SHOW that theyve got people on the side helping the cut and sew, or these people dont sleep! either way...i could NOT do that in two days!!!! maybeif i had osmeone cutting out my fabric for me and if i had a LOT of experience in draping and could drape fast, but right now...NO WAY!
