oh my god i'm in love with this thing. it automatically searches for the lyrics to whatever song is playing on your computer. it can also search for tabs. it's like a whole 'nother level of awesomeness for my already awesome media player (media monkey, which i would highly recommend to anyone).

go. download. now. biggrin.gif

  • effing sweet. I'm getting this now, he he.

I don't know if I'll try Media Monkey again for a while though.

I need to know these things about media monkey

    1) Can I delete things from my hard drive directly from Media Monkey?
    2) Does it add every sound file from my entire computer to its library? (hopefully not)
    3) Does it duplicate items in the library if I do another search to add media to the library?
    4) Does it have the ability to play files, folders, AND playlists?
    5) When set on shuffle, will it take me to the file it is playing so that I can edit/delete it?

I think that's all, those are all the problems I have with my media players now.
  • i got that a few months ago and I LOVE it.

    it's brilliant.

    1) yes. it will ask you if you want to delete from library or library and hard drive.
    2) not in my experience. you can choose what kinds of files to add to the library, so i guess if you have a tiny sound clip in mp3 form and you choose to to scan mp3s into the library, it would. but yeah, it's never happened to me.
    3) no
    4) yes. since you can browse by the library or just through the harddrive using the file tree, you can play folders. i only recently created the library myself had been playing things by folder/file for months.
    5) there's a now playing window that shows everything that on the queue to play (this can be randomized or shuffled) and when it plays the track it bolds it and takes you to its place on the list. you can edit tracks from anywhere. so yes i guess.

it also does a bajillion other things. i especially love the auto-tagging and syncing w/ the portable device features. i just love it so much, ha ha. it has everything i want in a media player all in one tidy package (it's less resource hungry than most other players). i have mine all prettied out now, with an olive skin and sheet music background. biggrin.gif

Sweet, sounds like it has all the advantages of Windows Media Player and WinAmp with none of the disadvantages! Except lets hope it doesn' crash on my new computer like it always did on my old one.
  • yes yes, let's hope. smile.gif
