This week's theme is mind games, and J's piece documents a surreal exchange between a well-intended New York City prankster and charming rock band from Vermont. Not only is Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore the researcher and writer here, but he's also the interviewer and narrator, so if you tune in you'll find out just how sonorous and authoritative his voice really is. Our very own Walter Cronkite.

The first airing of it is almost over here I hope I can catch it Sunday... If I'm reading the site right, that is...
asdfkajd! i forgot to listen. but it's supposed to end in like 5 minutes here and right tnow theyre playing some piano thing. so i dont know if we get american life here... :\
that was frickin hilarious. and so horribly mean. my initial reaction was that i was laughing a lot, by myself, in my car, but then it was just pity from there. those poor dudes, but you totally got them so much more recognition then they ever would have had.... that was pretty entertaining.
also, i have to add that i loved how the lead singer was all like "even though we know it was a prank..... we still rocked the house that night." oh man.

I've got a big long story on the public radio show This American Life this weekend. You should listen to it, if you're into that sort of thing. thislife.org
I finally got to listen and I listened to the 3 acts. Interesting stuff. I found the stories more intriguing than funny, but I'm a nerd like that.
Thanks for sharing the link. And you deserve some kind of award for all your work, Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore.
