Groceries

edited November -1 in General Discussion
Hey guys, I have a question. I'm planning on moving into an apartment this fall and I need to figure out a sort of budget. So I was just wondering if anyone could give me a realistic estimate (based on personal experience!) of how much money one person will spend on food/groceries in a month. Much gracias. smile.gif

  • I actually just had to find this out for a stupid MIS project.. everyone I talked to said they spent about $150-200 per month for one person.
  • Yeah, I know that when I'm home for the summer I usually spend around $150-200 per month...are you living by yourself or with someone?
  • Ah, i'll be living with a roommate and i'm a vegitarian. I don't know who my roommate will be, just need to make sure I have a enough money. ha ha ha.
  • I usually spend something like $75 to $125. I work well with budgets.
  • I would allot yourself a little bit of extra money...I'm not sure how much vegatarian meals cost, but I'm imagining they are a bit more then the shit most people eat!
  • ha ha, not really. I just eat like pasta, hamburger helper (w/o hamburger), mac & cheese, ramen, regular stuff like that. And meat costs a lot. ha ha.
