Need help on bass

I just wanted to know if anyone played bass here and if so what type of electric bass should i buy for a beginner? i really want to start playing over summer, but wondering what to buy. should i go to a pawn shop to buy one or buy a new less expensive one?

  • i use to play bass when i was younger... i had a peavey... it was nice to me... i always wanted a fender jazz bass, guess it's a good thing i didn't invest in one since i didn't stick with it...

    mmmm... well then i must save up for a bass. me and my friend want to actually learn guitar and bass this summer because we both want to and so we won't be bored. biggrin.gif

    don't worry i went thru the emo glasses phase, even i only listened to bright eyes. it only lasted a year, cause everyone started to wear the glasses. i so want to buy a bass i think i'll go to the music store tommorrow and check out the prices, i'll look for a peavey
