Teacher, I did my assignment

edited November -1 in General Discussion
The 3-day festival was Fantastic, lots of awesome bands, nice people, good food, except the weather. It rained in the afternoon of the first day and the third day, the second day was the worst. I could survive and had a great time somehow. And, I couldn't made friends with any cute guys there. That was another worst point. Only two drunken British fellas came talk to me. Sucks tongue.gif

To people who is going to read the post kindly and patiently, please forgive me for bad grammer (I know it'd worse than usual).

29 July
[Green Stage]
Foo Fighters / Coldplay / The Music / The High-Lows / Cake / Simple Plan / Master Low
[White Stage]
Kiyoshiro Imawano / The Pogues / Steel Pulse / Prefuse 73 / The Ska-Flames / Banda Bassotti / Soil & "Pimp" Sessions / Your Song Is Good
[Red Marquee]
Rosso / Charlotte Hatherley / Kaiser Chiefs / Acidman / The Longcut / Night Snipers / Analog Fish
...and many more

Cake - The one that I'd wanted to see live for a loooong time. Totally wonderful. Vocals and performances got together very well. Daria, The Guitar Man were so fantastic. People saw the show standing in the pouring rain, John said "This would be the perfect song for the day like today" and then they started to play "It's Coming Down". It was so marvelous that I didn't care about being soaking wet at all.
Kaiser Chiefs - Man, the tent was packed with the crowd and I recognized lots of people from abroad in the audience. Kaisers did very good job. Those lovely British guys never got us down. I Predict A Riot really caused a riot smile.gif, and their Na-Na-Na-Na-Na gave me a shiver. Awww. Hoping they will come back soon for their headlining concerts.
Charlotte Hatherley - A brilliant guitarist of ASH (aww my love) made her solo debut. It was obvious that she has a great talent for songwriting, however, the stage appearance needed to be developed. I like her anyway.
Coldplay - I just dropped by and listened to a couple of songs. I didn't like the way Chris behaved on stage, their recent stuff bored me. I used to love Coldplay but not anymore.
The Pogues - Full of fun and pleasure. Hahaha, those old blokes got me excited more than Coldplay did.
Kiyoshiro Imawano - I know you guys have no idea who the man is. He's known as the most reckless rocker for 35 years and he is the only one who plays at the festival every year. The show was overwhelming! I can't believe he's over 50.

...after Kiyoshiro, I went to the dj tent and danced out until 2 a.m.

30 July
[Green Stage]
Fatboy Slim / Beck / Asian Dub Foundation / Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra / Maximo Park / Sherbets / Eddi Reader
[White Stage]
Brahman / Dinosaur Jr. / Gang Of Four / Feeder / Sambomaster / Hawaiian 6 / Juliette Lewis & The Licks
[Red Marguee]
Mercury Rev / Clambon / Pealout / The Bravery / Bill Laswell / The Black Velvets / The Dresden Dolls / O' Brothers
[Field Of Heaven]
Ryan Adams
...and many more

The Dresden Dolls - I know Darbie is a fan of them (right?), but I'd never heard their music. OMG, their show was AMAZING. Amanda (right?) was f**kin' gorgeous and energetic, and the man (I don't know his name) was so electric. I like them a lot.
The Black Velvets - I'd expected too much of them? They SUCKED. Boring rock music of ancient times.

...I met The Bravery at a signing booth. I shall cut out the story because it'd be kinda long. They were so nice and sweet, let me tell ya...

...I wanted to see the Maximo Park show but I gave up because of the pouring rain...

The Bravery - My goodness, they blew my mind. In fact, I fell in love with them smile.gif. I'd heard unfavorable comments on live shows but it was not true. They rocked SO HARD. They played all songs from their album and covered U2's An Cat Dubh. It was wonderful. Sam, Dirt and Michael moved a lot on stage and interacted with the audience very well - I liked it a lot. Ah, the half-naked Dirt dived into the drum kit at the end of the show. He's rad. I couldn't tell their performance was perfect, however, it was really amazing.
Asian Dub Foundation - People say their show is great and I found it was true. Their message was political, at the same time their music made our feet move. They were so clever and powerful. They often shouted "Son of a BUSH". haha. Oil, the song goes like you just want my oil, f**kin ruled!
Gang Of Four - The legend. They have not been rusted or old. They played as wild as young bands did...uh, Gang Of Four were much crazier. One of them is the producer of The Futureheads' album, isn't he? Heads had made a right decision because Gang Of Four were so cool.
Ryan Adams - It was rather hard to choose which show I should see, Fatboy Slim or Ryan, I decided Ryan anyway. Ughh thunder, lightning and rain. I was so scared. The show was pretty good, he sang bluesie and folkie. Um, he was kinda...funny. In the middle of the show, he looked like being in a bad mood and he kept shouting "Turn out the f**kin light" "It's not a f**kin fashion show. I'm not a f**kin strip chick". I guessed he didn't go throught the whole list of the songs. Oh, well.
U.S.E. - I'd seen their show this spring and I absolutely love them. The show was far more better than before. If you have a chance to see them, just try it. Fun danceable music will make you happy, too smile.gif.
Towa Tei - I wanted to dance more longer...but my body didn't work anymore. haha.

31 July
[Green Stage]
Primal Scream / New Order / Moby / The Beach Boys / Quruli / Ego-Wrappin' / Kemuri / The Knack
[White Stage]
Sigur Ros / The Mars Volta / Boom Boom Satellites / Doves / Athlete / Soul Flower Union / The Go! Team / Afuralimbo
[Red Marquee]
The Coral / Royksopp / The Futureheads / Aqualung / The Magic Numbers / Oceanlane / Juliette Lewis & The Licks / Tizzy Bac
...and many more

The Knack - I'd thought "They might keep on playing My Sharona for 45 minutes", but I was wrong. It was one lovely show. The lead singer was all smiles and looked very happy to play at the festival. It made me happy, too.
Juliette Lewis & The Licks - Is she quit of her actress career? Um, she might be okay but I thought she just wanted to sing (or act) like a hip rock star. I couldn't stand the whole show. Bye bye hot chick.
The GO! Team - I liked them a lot. It was FUN. The lead singer was so cute and she was good at living up the show. I danced like a fool smile.gif.
Aqualung - I didn't walk into the tent, I sat down at the shade of the tree and listened to his music. His sweet voice was entwined in mellow melodies. It was like a heaven.
The Futureheads - Jumping, hopping, moshing, sweating!! Wow, it was amazing. They looked suprised at the crazy audience and said "It's so great to play here". Yeah, it was one of the best shows of the festival.
The Beach Boys - Hey I could see all kinds of generations in the audience. People all enjoyed those famous songs like Good Vibration, Wouldn't It Be Nice, Fun Fun Fun, Surfing U.S.A. When the boys played Surfer Girl tens thousands of arms were put in the air. It was fantastic. The boys never get old, it seemed that they can play for 20 more years smile.gif.
Royksopp - This Swedish electro music unit is massive in Japan. People overflowed the tent and danced where they were (yeah, me too). I always love good dance music, so I liked them as well.
Moby - Ahh, finally I got to see his show. He and his band guys put on sleeveless shirts, so they looked like a heavy metal band. haha. Actually, they covered AC/DC's You Shook Me All Night Long. OMG, it was unreal!!!!! The show was brilliant for sure but I counldn't remember the detail. Maybe my little head was overloaded.
New Order - THEY WERE THE BEST. I could overlook an army of people covered the field, it was a moving sight. It might make them feel good, Burney spoke a lot on stage, he even sang in Japanese!! Well, they're not the perfect band, that is, Burney's vocals are trash sometimes, you know. But something about New Order excited me. Maybe that was because their passions and attitudes toward creating music. Love Will Tear Us Apart made me cry, Blue Monday was incredible. So impressive. I couldn't stand up for a while after the show.
