omg i saw the best heavyweight boxing match ive ever seen. it was for the world championship. the whole match was prety even. god it was good. did anyone else watch a little of it?
It's now the month of my birthday and I'm getting massively depressed. What's the deal with me?! My birthday doesn't usually bother me. Somebody wanna step in and play psychiatrist for Tempe (aka Rose).
I think it's understandable, you're turning 24 which is a big number, close to 25. Are you worried about your future?
Lol! Thank you Dr.Phil. How'd you know my age? No, I just think it sounds so old, and all my friends hate when I say that cause most of them are older than me. The closeness to 25 I think is what scares me.
It scares me that I'm turning 20 this year and I have yet to be kissed (yeah, I know). It scares me because I used to love the movie Never Been Kissed until I realized that the character was only 25. I know from other friends that once you get into your twenties, every birthday is scary because you feel like you're not living up to your age and that you haven't done anything great with your life yet. But what you have to remember is that everyone goes through this, there only a handfull that are already married and have kids and have carreers, but that doesn't mean they're happy. I think taking your time allows you to learn about yourself which will make future endevors easier to cope with. But hey, that's just me.
So, Canadians, what did we think of this year's Junos?
I thought it was pretty good. I mean Buck 65 djed and did his little intro rap. I loved that... I liked the Pam Anderson seal thing, her digs and the audience's booos... hahaha... (I don't know what to think of the whole seal thingi).
Also Buble (or as I like to call him Mr.Bubble... Buck 65 does the same thing i do!!!) won like 3 awards... thats kind of awesome I guess. But I was wondering where were The Trews? Our Lady Peace? And whats up with The Arcade Fire? I mean didn't they're album come out like 2 years ago?
It was over all ok... But I absoulutely HATE that Hot Hot Heat didn't perform, they didn't even win an award? What the hell? Broken Social Scene dude you are right... you are the most hyped band in Toronto... what you forgot to mention is that your the most sucky band as well.

Not only Canadians...

The Juno Awards, held in Halifax, will be broadcast on a total of 11 MTV and VH1 networks. In addition to the United States (MTV2), the awards broadcast will be available to 246 million households in: Australia (VH1), China (MTV), India (VH1), Italy (MTV), Latin America (VH1), Malaysia (MTV), Portugal (MTV), Singapore (MTV), Taiwan (MTV) and the United Kingdom (VH1).
The Junos rocked.... I wish i was there... Yodie, you're right though, there should of been more preformances... and not just from lamos like BSS and Nickelback. Im more angry at the fact that Buck 65 wasnt credited as a host of the show. It seemed like they just put a spotlight on Pamala Anderson anytime she randomly stumbled out of the bar and let her stutter through reading the telepropter. Buck 65 was the one holding the show together...
Or maybe my admiration for Mr.65 is blinding me...

Hellolover86, you're making me feel a lot better. You're so right about all that! I think I am feeling like I "haven't done anything great with my life yet or lived up to the expectations of my age" as you so eloquently put it. I love to write and I'm worried I'm not getting as far with that as I can be, but I keep trying. You're right. I have friends who got married when they were 22, and that's scary. There's no way I'd want to be engaged, married, or have kids right now. There was a time where I was worried about having a boyfriend at my age, but now I don't care. A guy would only drag on me, like having a kid around. And he would never let me go out with girlfriends to an Ok Go concert or a girl's night on the town, without asking him if he wanted to go too. I'd lose some of my freedom. So that's my advice to you in return. Don't worry about getting kissed by a guy (they have cooties, lol). No, seriously, a guy would get in the way of all your fun, even if he is your soulmate.

I'm a psychology major, and I know how you feel. I write a lot and for a while I thought that nothing would ever come of it, but then I realized it didn't matter if I ever became famous for it: what matters is how you affect those who read it. Don't give up! Maybe we should make a thread to share out writing......

Yeah, but I really doubt that very many people watched the show in other countries. I enjoyed it, I've been to a couple of the ceremonies in the past and last night seemed way more exciting.
