Senior pictures....

edited November -1 in General Discussion
Urgh... I had mine today. I got the feeling that people at the photography studio were rather clueless as to how to handle the great influx of area high school students. And the poses! Oh the poses. I think there must be some class that all of the [second-rate] photographers go to to learn how to pose their subjects in unrealistic poses. Bleh. Can we say frozen on smile? And in one picture I look like I'm trying to choke myself due to a hand grasping my neck/chin. haha

  • lol. i took mine on friday. they're gonna turn out so cheezy, i just know it.
  • mine were awful.
    they're not me at all.
i had tons of make up on, and i NEVER wear makeup. and i hated the outfits i was wearing.
the only cool thing is that you can see the red streaks in my hair.
  • The one of me that was put in the yearbook was effing terrible. The photographers are stupid, and the yearbook company, who picks which picture goes in (at least at my school they did) are terrible judges of who looks good.

My dad took the ones that we sent to everyone in my graduation announcements--I looked sooooo much better and it was a ton cheaper. It's around here somewhere...if I find it on my computer I'll post the good one.
  • we had nothing like that, we did at school tho. and my final year photo was horrendous... they managed to take the photo right as i was/just after i blinked and my eyes were half shut lol. i never let my mum display it, i made her keep it in a drawer hehe
  • lol i have such long hair in my senior pictures, lol. it looks so different than right now, i took mine in the summer and at my school they have a hair code so i had to cut mine once school started so i just cut it short and am letting grow out, ill have to post my picture up here

  • I'm getting my senior photos done in two weeks, the week after homecoming. My mom wants them taken in the fall . . . which I don't mind because it's pretty in Michigan during the fall. But my mom wanted my hair long and the color I had dyed it at the time, which was red. But I wasn't going to wait until September to cut my hair.

So . . . I cut my hair just above my shoulders (my hair was half way down my back) with all these short layers and I dyed my hair black/brown. My mom wasn't too happy with me, but oh well!

So I'm getting them done in two weeks.
  • I hated mine... they were taken like the first week of my senior year but I look like such a (insert assy word here) in them...

ahh, memories. Damn, that was like 4 years ago.
  • i pretty much look the same as i did when i had mine taken...but that's what happens when you're forever 12.huh.gif

ps. that is crazy about the hair code for guys, but i hear there are crazy hair codes in general even at public schools...
  • hmmm i remember when i was veeeery young that my school stopped boys having skin heads and also having those reeeeeally cute like bowl cuts with the back shaved off, i dunno what they're called, but like Ross' little boy in friends, before he's the boy out of big daddy haha. His hair is sooooo cute. Yea, my school banned those.
  • when I was in 2nd grade (about 7-8 years old for those not in US) mohawks (sp?) were really popular in my elementary school for some reason... the trend only lasted for a few months, however.

(did you see how i was gramatically correct when I had the comma before "however"? I thought deeply about that sentense)

    ~Rachael
  • i see kids with mohawks all the time
    its ADORABLE.

They're your pictures--you should look how you want to in them, not how your mom wants you to look.
  • wow so much hate on the photographers..

i would stick up for my kind....but im lazy...

Thank you, that's exactly what I said. But she's paying for them. She goes on guilt trips with that excuse a whole lot.

No no. Not hate on photographers. I have friends who are photographers and rather good ones at that. Just hate on the commercial photographers who generally aren't all that great and overcharge you for pictures.

Exactly. My dad is a photographer and he takes pictures a million times better than theirs without getting paid for it....
