May I say that this is one of the best movies EVER?! And it has that awesome awesome awesome song by Electric Lights Orchestra, the songs called Mr Blue Sky and it rocks!
It's so sad and happy at the end, I was on the verge of crying when they were in that abandoned house and he was talking about how he left and he wished he didn't. So sad. But it is my favourite movie, alongside Moulin Rouge.

Ok I thought I was the only one who almost cried at that part! I watched it in a class of mine, and I was sitting there with my eyes almost spilling over. It was so well done. At a camp I went to this summer a counselor of mine said, "what if instead of Jim Carrey, Joel was played by John Cusac?" I don't think he would have been as good as Jim Carrey.
Jim Carrey is brilliant at serious roles. Both him and Kate Winslet were so natural at these parts I think they were the best for the film.
Also, I only realized just now why Joel doesn't know the "oh my darling clementine" song at the start, even though his mother sings it to him in the film.
He doesn't remember it because the "eraser guys" erased that memory!
Have you ever seen Momento? That movie is really hard to follow, and makes you think SOO much. Also, The Fifth Element is amazing as well. Haha, I love the stupid films too though, comedies are my all time favorites.
Eternal Sunshine is such a good movie! I almost cried at that part too, and it takes a lot of drama for me to cry during a movie. It was well done, indeed.
i love eternal sunshine... sooo good. when i first saw it i noticed how old jim carrey was... and then taht made me feel old but it's still just an amazing movie

In the first draft of the script, Joel and Clementine kept on going out and erasing each other until they were quite old
