Two questions.

edited November -1 in OK Go
This may be a really stupid question, but are there normally moshes at their concerts?
And also, do they have a rule against cameras?

  • i can't really see someone moshing at an ok go concert..but hey..that's just me. and the camera rule is more of a venue rule then a band rule, though the band might not want you to bring one in. just sneak it in like everyone else and you'll be fine.

i also wouldn't start a mosh pit if i had a camera..once agian, just me.

I'm defenitly not planning on starting one. I'd be kind of happy if one happened though.

I'm going to the St. Louis show.
  • I've seen them 3 times this year, and have never witnessed a mosh. Nor have I heard of anyone moshing at their concert. OK Go's music isn't very "mosh" music, you know? I recall someone saying that some people tried to start a mosh at a concert once, but Damian just kind of looked at them..he didn't understand.
  • Damn. Oh well, now I won't put my camera in danger. I wanted to get injured and run around going "LOOK GUYS I'M HARDCORE." Heheh.
  • umm
when i saw them with the donnas, some peole started pushing each other. but that was it. no full on hxc mosh pit
  • A mosh at an OK Go concert would be really odd. I think not only the band, but the whole audience would look at the people who started it very strangely.

Feel free to dance though. Damian likes to run around the venue and sing in the audience.

Damn I need to see that.

I'm familiar with that happening. Gavin DeGraw does it all the time.
  • I have never seen anything that I would call "moshing" at an OKGO show, but I did witness some pretty hearty crowd surfing at a show in Lawrence, KS. tongue.gif
  • i dont like moshpits
er at least being on the outskirts of one
you tend to black out a lto. gross.

Welcome, dobug. Nah, it's not a stupid question, but it might be a timeless question. See: do the mosh?

As for cameras, it is actually both a venue and a band decision. Some bands don't like to be photographed. So far and thankfully, OK Go doesn't care and the venues they normally play do not care either. Usually it a bigger venue or concert for bigger bands when they get strict with the cameras.
  • Sorry, didn't see it.

I emailed the venue about pictures and I haven't gotten a responce yet. I really hope I can, a lot of a concerts I've been to have been no cameras and I need to get some shots before I go insane.
  • just take a cam anyway
  • lol i remember one time i snuck a camera to a weezer show. i was all scared cause they were catching alot of people w/them. we made it home free, then right after the concert some guy was like hey u can't have that here, but just gave up cause it was already over.

*i brought 2 cameras to the ok go show in austin @ stubb's and they were pretty cool with it.
  • get a camera phone.

hey, no need to apologize. it was an old thread that i found amusing...but anyway, i really don't think you need to worry about the camera situation. i have seen OK Go ten times and only once was i not allowed to bring in a camera. it was a big Christmas show at the HOUSE OF BLUES in Chicago, their alleged hometown. i don't think the St. Louis show will be anything near like that. so like everyone has been saying, just bring your camera and have fun. smile.gif
