    well i can't really speak for the 218 that signed up here and never posted... but i know in the past i've joined message boards, and then wound up not posting because it was clear most of the users had been friends for a while and i didn't want to intrude upon their little family...

    i think that "most online" counter is inaccurate. i don't know how that was calculated when there wasn't even that many members at the supposed time!

    ...i'm guilty of having joined a few band messageboards, posting, and then eventually disappearing. for me, it's a matter of interest in the band, the messageforum activity and scenario, and time...the okgo board wins. cool.gif

    Yeah, I agree. I post at Fiction Alley Park a bunch, but it's so hard to join in a thread, especially a lot of the 'ship threads, because they all move so fast and EVERYBODY knows each other.

    Actually, I felt a little intimidated here, too, at first...y'all seem to know each other so well!!! But everyone here is so nice, so I don't feel that way anymore. biggrin.gif

    It is accurate, it counts the number of guests as well

    you're talking about the currently active guest count, but i was talking about the "most users ever online."

    Most users ever online was 332 on Mar 16 2005, 12:43 PM

    i don't know how that stat was recorded, cuz there was no where near that many users at the time...and this has been pointed out before...

    there's NO way i could even hope to keep up with boards for weezer or incubus and worse, they weren't that friendly...the first band board i used to visit was our lady peace's clumsy congress, but i gave that up even tho i really liked the band, their forum and the people...

    i'm glad you feel comfortable on this board, as you should. i think it is the friendliest around and now you are part of that. smile.gif

    This board, which has tons of lovely people and some crazy ones, is absolutely wonderful.
