conversation with my brother when he comes home from the library with an armful of books:
brother: You know when your eyes are too big for your stomach? me: yeah... brother: well I think this *gestures to books* is the equivalent of that with reading me: so.... your eyes were too big for... your eyes?
- The bit at the beginning of Daydream Believer: Davy Jones: What number is this? Monkees: 7 A!! Davy Jones: Ok, ok, you know what I mean, don't get excited man. Just coz I'm short, I know.
^^ This whole above statment made my day! (Am I wierd cause the other day when I was crushed but got back on my feet again, I heard this song and felt like Davy was telling me to cheer up. Then once I did cheer up, I heard "Invincible" and pretended Damian was giving me a pep talk about being invincible.)
- realizing tomorrow is Friday
- fruit coctail
- the return of "Lost." Finally a new ep just started. It'd better be worth it.

Haha, I've been in a bit of a Monkees mood lately... I was flicking through the artist list on my iPod and thought of you as soon as I got to them, so I thought I'd have a bit of a listen again in honor of my favorite female dentist (male being Dr Tim, of course), and I forgot how genius they are!! I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone and The Porpoise Song are alternating on repeat at the moment.
And that is NOT weird - it's totally lovely! It gives you such a great feeling - I feel like Micky's telling me not to be a bitch everytime I hear I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone, it's great! I need to watch Head again. I was obsessed with that film when I was little.
So basically, my happiness is currently The Monkees. In general.
O man, that's awesome. Are you going to go? You totally have to...
Happy List -having no school today due to freezing rain or something. And so I caught up on some much needed sleep.
Same Except we actually got about 4-5ish inches of snow. Which i am NOT a fan of. But I only had 2.5 days of school this week! which is totally rad! I'm really glad our superindendent is a big wuss haha
- it's half past three in the morning and I'm finally done with bringing my linguistic notes into form (just wrote 20 pages of terminology... )! And I'm happy because I can go to bed at last....

SNOW! Yes, finally! It's already gone now but I got to walk home when it was snowing and I can tell you: eating chocolate, walking home (with th efeeling the the exam on monday will be ok-ish), watching the snow and listening to Paolo Nutini: Now that's a magic combination

i've had a crush on james marsden since second noah, haha, i remember nothing of that show other than he was on it, and one of the characters was named darby...
and as always i must state that my niece makes me happy, she's two today:
-I went to go see the Vagina Monologues performed at my university with a bunch of my friends last night. It was absolutely amazing. 600 people in one place, all super psyched about vaginas. Not to mention the actresses were great and sassy and incredibly talented. Did you know that the clitoris has 8,000 nerve endings? That's more nerve endings than in any other part of the woman's body or the man's body. We all left just wanting to chat about our vaginas (which, honestly, is nothing new. It was only this time that were was a popular declaration to 'Write the story of our vagina').
-Then going to get late-night cheesecake. I want to be friends with these girls for a long time.
-Every single thing about this weekend. I'm beaming from it all.
Ditto on both those points. But I'd like to specify a bit.
Thursday: Adam and I went to see Mika. He's an amazing performer. He had the most fantastic set, complete with blow-up dolls and flowers everywhere, and costumes, and oh my.
Friday: Took my Dad to see David Lanz, his favorite pianist, at the Opera House next door to our apartment. I haven't seen my Dad smile that much in years.
Saturday: Picked up Katie, Angie, and Becky at the airport and went to see OK Go in DC! I'm still processing all the awesome from this and will type a longer entry.
Sunday: Saw Barack Obama speak at the park across the street from my apartment. Was stopped by a reporter and asked a few questions on our way out. Got a phone call from a friend who asked if she could come stay with me the weekend of my Chorale's Cabaret so she could see it. Went to a Super Bowl party with friends. Got to see the Giants (A New York Team) beat the Patriots (from Boston). HA. Then, I got home, and found this:
^^Weee! Now we've both appeared on our local ABC affiliates! Ain't it cool?
Wowl, that's some amazing weekend.
And, Darbie, your neice is so adorable I can't stand it. She's gotten so big, I mean a year goes by so fast in babyhood. I just want to pinch her wittle cheeks!
