Yeah, the US charts are basically a joke as well. I don't really pay attention to the top 40 anymore. I've stopped listening to those radio stations, so they don't matter to me anymore.

GO PANDY ANDY, SPREADER OF OK GO LOVE!

I actually think Oh No may have been number one (or really close to the top) on Billboard's Indie charts (ie one of the charts that 95% of America doesn't pay attention to). But as for mainstream charts...nothing...

whoa! No way! There's a "Billboard Indie Chart??" I must not be paying any attention... I guess I am in the 95% who don't know... way cool. Thanks for letting us know!

I think so. Or I could be totally making that up.

    *goes and searches*
  • we have a indie chart in the uk
  • Okay, so apparently "Get Over It" made it to number 20 on the "Modern Rock Tracks" chart (???) way back in 2002, and OK Go made it to 107 on the Topp 200 of 2002.

And Oh No made it to number one!!! on the Top Heatseekers chart and number 134 on the Top 200 chart last year.
  • huzza for stats
  • There's a Heatseeker's chart for Billboard?

I have to check that out

    *checks it out*

uh, I don't listen to any of these artists.

The Heatseekers chart is kinda weird, though. I mean, its existence makes perfect sense, but it's just the top albums from bands that have never been top 100. So it's great to be at the top of that chart as far as getting attention and such, but it's not the same as being at the top of a genre chart or something, you know?

I don't know why I'm going on about this. I don't get to read Billboard anymore, anyway- I used to get it at my store, but I don't have any access to it now.

There is an Independent chart, but you have to be, you know, independent to be on it. smile.gif
