    When it comes to music, my parents have learned to just nod and act like they care.

    I put on the Books in the car when I was driving. My mother's reaction: "Um... they're.... interesting.

    The only group she can't stand is Violent Femmes. I still blast them anyway.

    I think my mom likes my music because she wants to. She really wants to be a big part of my life.

    my mommy enjoys complaining about rocker boys hair... she tried to get me to bring a brush to an ok go show after she saw damian on conan... i kept telling her there was nothing wrong with his hair...
